7 Eddie Harrigan Is the Spark That Lights the Whole Fire

Anson Boon‘s Eddie Harrigan is the reckless grandson who sets the entire story in motion. His violent night out with Tommy Stevenson kicks off a full-blown war between the Harrigans and the Stevensons. Eddie is spoiled, unpredictable, and frighteningly comfortable with murder, especially when his grandmother is pulling the strings.

The shocking reveal that Conrad is actually his biological father also turns him into a ticking time bomb for the new season. He lands at the bottom because he is more of a tool than a mastermind. Eddie causes chaos, but other people usually decide where his story goes.

6 Geoff Bell’s Richie Is the Villain Who Never Blinks

Geoff Bell‘s Richie is the perfect rival for the Harrigans. After his son Tommy vanishes, he turns into a grieving father and a ruthless boss all at once, and that mix makes him terrifying. Richie does not bluff. He guns down two police officers who think they own him, and he brutally kills Brendan Harrigan with a chainsaw.

Every time this character walks into a room, you know someone might not walk out. He ranks sixth only because his story is over. Richie was killed in the Season 1 finale, and he is too one-note to climb any higher.

5 Conrad Harrigan Is a King Losing His Grip in MobLand

Pierce Brosnan clearly has a blast as Conrad, the Irish patriarch of the Harrigan family. He is charming one minute and explosive the next, and his outbursts often end with a body on the floor, including his loyal advisor Archie. What makes Conrad fascinating is how much he is slipping.

Many around him feel he is no longer the man he used to be, and his wife seems to steer most of his big decisions. Still, he ended Season 1 cheered on by his entire prison block. Conrad is not done yet, but he is not the real power in the house, ranking him below three other Harrigans.

4 Seraphina Harrigan Has Her Father’s Killer Instinct

Mandeep Dhillon‘s Seraphina is Conrad’s daughter from outside his marriage, and she might be the family’s most underrated player. Her risky Antwerp deal with her brother Brendan went horribly wrong, and she barely escaped with her life. But Seraphina learns fast.

She has Conrad’s cold instincts without the blind family loyalty that keeps tripping up the other Harrigans. Her bold move with cartel figure Kat McAllister in the finale proved she is thinking several steps ahead. She sits at fourth because her best days are clearly still ahead. Season 2 could be her time to shine.

3 Helen Mirren’s Maeve Harrigan Is the Real Boss of the Family

Helen Mirren‘s Maeve might look like a sweet grandmother, but she is the most dangerous Harrigan of them all. She quietly pushed Eddie to kill Tommy and encouraged Conrad to take out Archie. She was even willing to put her own son at risk just to get rid of Seraphina.

Maeve rarely gets her hands dirty. She simply whispers into the right ear and lets others do the damage. Even while being arrested, she was belting out an Irish folk song as if nothing could touch her. She misses the top two only because pure scheming can make it hard to feel anything for her.

2 Kevin Harrigan Has the Show’s Most Heartbreaking Story

Paddy Considine‘s Kevin starts as the calmest and most decent of the Harrigan children. He is a loving family man who seems to have kept his conscience intact in a house full of killers. Then everything cracks. Painful secrets from his past come to the surface, and he learns that his father is the biological parent of the boy he raised as his son.

By the finale, Kevin has declared himself the new head of the family. Considine brings so much hurt and anger to the role that Kevin is the easiest character to root for. He falls just short of first place.

1 Tom Hardy’s Harry Is the Smartest Man in Every Room

There was never any doubt about the top spot. Tom Hardy’s Harry is the Harrigans’ fixer, and he is the calm center of a very violent storm. In a show where everyone shoots first, Harry thinks, talks, and cleans up the mess. When he does snap, though, it is unforgettable.

His solo assault on Jaime Lopez’s men to rescue Seraphina and Brendan showed exactly how lethal he can be. What seals his place is how torn he is between his loyalty to the Harrigans and his love for his wife, Jan, and daughter, Gina. Harry is the heart and brains of MobLand.
