How to Play EA FC 27 Early? All Methods Explained

EA Sports FC 27 is officially coming out worldwide on September 25, 2026, but you don’t necessarily have to wait until then to start playing. There are multiple ways for you to play the game ahead of its standard release, including a full early-access period and a limited trial.

Depending on the edition or which EA subscription you choose, you can begin playing FC 27 as early as September 17 or 18. Here are all the available methods to play EA FC 27 early, and what you can expect from each one.

Buy the EA Sports FC 27 Ultimate Edition

The easiest and simplest way to play EA FC 27 early is to buy the Ultimate Edition. This version provides up to seven days of early access to the full game, meaning you’ll be able to jump into Career Mode, Football Ultimate Team, Clubs, and other available modes before the September 25 standard release.

On PC, Ultimate Edition early access has already started since September 17 at 4 PM PT / 7 PM ET. And on consoles, the early access started at midnight on September 18 according to the player’s regional release time.

The Ultimate Edition also includes additional Ultimate Team content and 4,600 FC Points, making it the option aimed at players who want both early access and additional in-game bonuses.

Another edition, the Ultimate Plus Edition, previously offered the same early-access window alongside additional benefits. However, that version was only available until August 31, so it is no longer an option for new purchases.

Use EA Play or EA Play Pro

If you don’t want to buy the Ultimate Edition, you can still get early access with two different subscription-based options. But they’re not as early early access as the previous options.

An EA Play membership will give you a 10-hour trial of EA FC 27. The trial is available across supported Xbox platforms and Xbox on PC, including for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members. This gives players a chance to experience the full game before deciding whether to purchase it.

Importantly, progress made during the trial carries over if you subsequently buy the full game. EA Play members can also receive a discount on eligible EA digital purchases.

PC players have another option through EA Play Pro. The premium subscription provides full access to the game rather than limiting players to a 10-hour trial, with access beginning during the early-access period.

For anyone looking for unlimited early access without purchasing the Ultimate Edition separately, EA Play Pro is therefore an alternative on PC.
