The production reportedly took seven years and used around 100,000 hand-drawn images, an extraordinary commitment for Koike’s directorial debut. It may not have Demon Slayer‘s narrative weight, but visually? Redline floors the accelerator and throws away the brakes.

2 Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc Turned Romance Into Explosive Carnage

Chainsaw Man: The Movie – Reze Arc takes second place because it understands something Infinity Castle largely does not need to explore: action can become more devastating when the audience desperately wants the characters to be happy first. Tatsuya Yoshihara’s movie follows Denji as his relationship with Reze moves from awkward romance into increasingly violent chaos, allowing MAPPA to shift effortlessly between intimate character moments and savage devil combat.
