Spoiler Alert !!!
Spoilers from Black Clover manga
Black Clover has introduced devils that can make even Captain-level magic look like child’s play, but some of its most terrifying devils barely got to empty the tank. With Black Clover Season 2 bringing the series’ larger mythology back into focus, their unfinished power reveals deserve another look.
Devils are divided into low-, mid-, high-, and highest-ranking classes, with the strongest occupying the deepest levels of the Underworld. Here are the strongest devils yet to unleash their full potential:
6 Megicula Never Got to Reveal Her Complete Devil Form

As a highest-ranking devil who replaced Astaroth’s position, Megicula possessed Curse-Warding Magic powerful enough to create lethal curses, weaken spells, heal, and manipulate other magical effects.
Her Malevolent Femcantation was designed to enable complete manifestation through sacrifices, while additional sacrifices increased her manifestation and granted access to other magical attributes. Yet Megicula was defeated before that process could reach its ultimate completion. That unfinished ceiling puts her at #6 rather than higher.
5 Baal’s True Power Remains One of Black Clover’s Biggest Mysteries
Baal transformed into a Paladin in the Black Clover manga. [Credit: Shueisha]Baal is arguably the biggest wildcard on this list because the manga gives us very little Baal itself. It is a highest-ranking devil with Air Magic, and Lucius later incarnated it inside Damnatio Kira during Judgment Day. Through Damnatio, Baal’s Atmosphere Magic proved brutally effective. Its invisible attacks overwhelmed multiple Black Bulls and witches before Asta eventually entered the fight.
But that was a Paladin using purified devil power; not Baal appearing independently and revealing its own complete repertoire. With only the attribute and its highest-ranking status firmly established, Baal has enormous unanswered potential, which makes him sit at #5.
4 Adrammelech Has Been Holding Back Far More Than Expected
Chapter 385 of the Black Clover manga, featuring Adramelech speaking to Yami. [Credit: Shueisha]Adrammelech is where this ranking gets particularly spicy. A highest-ranking devil from the second level of the Underworld, it repeatedly chose not to fight, instead watching events unfold with amusement. It even tolerated Lucifero’s gravity and later handed his heart to Lucius.
Its revealed attribute is Light Magic, and its eventual contract with Yami allowed Yami’s Dark Magic to be amplified enough to destroy the resurrected Morgen. Its casual attitude toward battles involving monsters like Lucifero makes the restraint feel deliberate. The devil’s ceiling remains far murkier than its screen time suggests, which is why he earns the fourth spot.
3 Lucifugus Has Yet to Unleash His Full Dark Magic

When Nacht attempted to summon the highest-ranking devil through the Faust family’s ritual, Lucifugus overwhelmed the ceremony and killed most of the people present despite having its power suppressed.
Its Dark Magic is already a frightening attribute, possessing the same fundamental darkness manipulation associated with Yami and Morgen. Yet Lucifugus itself never received an extended, unrestricted fight. Morgen later carried its purified power as a Paladin, but that still isn’t the same thing as seeing the original devil unleash its complete arsenal. That horrifying Nacht flashback earns Lucifugus the third spot.
2 Beelzebub Has Barely Scratched the Surface of Spatial Magic

Beelzebub is another Underworld ruler, occupying the lowest level alongside Lucifero and Astaroth. Its Spatial Magic was channelled through Zenon Zogratis, whose devil power allowed him to manipulate space on a monstrous scale. Zenon’s transformation showed just how ridiculous a portion of Beelzebub’s power could become: even partial devil power overwhelmed elite mages, while 100% devil power pushed Zenon into another class entirely.
Yet readers never received a true showcase of Beelzebub fighting independently at full strength. Spatial Magic already allows control over distance, positioning, and mana itself; the unexplored possibilities of a fully manifested Beelzebub are precisely why it lands at #2.
1 Astaroth Still Hides the True Terror of Time Magic

Julius Novachrono and Lucius Zogratis are two personalities sharing one body, while Astaroth is the supreme Time Devil they became connected to. Lucius’ use of Time Magic showed how terrifying the attribute can become, from manipulating the passage of time to predicting and altering events. Yet those feats should not automatically be treated as Astaroth’s complete personal arsenal.
The devil itself has never received the kind of extended battle that would reveal its full capabilities. With its supreme rank and an attribute this fundamentally broken, Astaroth remains Black Clover‘s biggest unanswered devil mystery.
