Episode 4 sees Duncan exploit Joanne’s leaked client information to win Bardolph’s trust and secure a board seat, only for his so-called “algorithm” prediction about Smote CEO Orlando Lee’s removal to come true. It’s a massive turning point that leaves one question hanging: how long can he keep the illusion alive?

The Audacity returns with Episode 5 on May 3, 2026, as part of its weekly rollout. The episode will be available at 3:00 AM ET on AMC+, ahead of its AMC broadcast later that day.

The Audacity Episode 5: What to Expect

Episode 4 gave Duncan exactly what he wanted: Bardolph’s trust, but he earned it by passing off Joanne’s therapy room as predictive tech. That only works as long as no one else understands his source. The teaser for the next episode at the end of Episode 4 hints that it’s already starting to slip.

Carl’s arrival seems like another intrusion. Asking for space for his silent second-in-command suggests Duncan’s plan is no longer hidden. The more people he lets in, the more likely it is that his biggest advantage, information no one else should have, stops being a secret.

After Anushka smashed Alexander’s tablet in Episode 4, Martin notices something off about the AI – a small, visible damage that wasn’t there before. Their dynamic was already strained after he saw her with Duncan, and this only deepens that divide. If Alexander represents something Martin built and valued, her destroying it could force him to confront where she really stands.

The teaser also shows Fah-Fah, along with a line about approaching a “societal collapse“, which could reflect a system where exploiting private information has become standard practice. Another moment shows Duncan with Gabe, who seems tied to his past. That connection could become important, especially if Duncan starts looking for support outside his current circle.
