To produce Black Paint efficiently in Graveyard Keeper, you’ll need a few supporting resources. Some are simple, while others require processing systems (like moth).
If you are going the Graphite powder way, you will need to mill it from graphite (using the Alchemy mill). The process is straightforward. However, if you want to go with the Ash and Oil recipe, these ingredients require some work.
To produce Ash and Oil, here are the recipes:
| Oil (x10) | – 1× Seed oil | Open in Inventory |
| Oil (x10) | – 3× Fat | Vine Press |
| Ash (x5) | – 8× Wood billet – Corpse item | Place for burning corpses |
| Ash (x3) | – 20 Fuel – Corpse item | Wall Crematorium |
Lastly, there is Death powder, another key alchemy ingredient used in one of the Black Paint recipes. It requires more advanced processing compared to Ash or Oil and is typically produced through the Alchemy Mill.
| Death powder (x3) | 1× Dark intestine |
| Death powder (x1) | 4× Goo of Death |
Once you have a steady supply of Ash, Oil, or Death Powder, Black Paint becomes a quick and repeatable craft. From there, you’ll be fully ready to push forward into ink production
