Steal an Egg’s Halloween Dimension update dropped a side quest centered on a ghostly pup named Echo, and finishing it hands players one of the event’s more interesting rewards: the Phantom Express Ticket. This pass is the only way to climb aboard the haunted train that rolls through the new spooky zone, and it leads straight into a bonus area built around collecting ghosts for a brand-new mutation.

The ticket doesn’t drop randomly and can’t be bought from any shop, so players need to work through a short questline first. Step through the Halloween portal, positioned right beside the Trails Shop in the spawn zone, to load into the Halloween Dimension, then track down Echo, a spectral dog stationed outside a small witch-hat-shaped house.

Echo is missing four belongings scattered across the new map’s three zones: the graveyard, the abandoned mansion, and the swamp, including a chewed-up bone, an old collar, a worn photograph, and a stuffed rabbit toy. None of these items require boarding the train itself, since most sit along footpaths, near rock formations by the water, or beside the tracks of the train platform.

Once all four pieces are back in Echo’s paws, he walks over to the swamp dock to reunite with his former owner, a fisherman spirit. The fisherman hands over a Haunted Rod as thanks, and that rod is the actual key to the ticket. Casting it into any rippling patch of water starts a short fishing challenge, and clearing that challenge opens a reward chest containing the Phantom Express Ticket, wrapping up the questline.

With the ticket secured, head back to the train platform near the swamp. The Phantom Express only stops there twice an hour, arriving right on the hour and again on the half-hour mark, so timing a visit around the in-game clock helps save a lot of standing around.

The train carries players into a separate ghost-filled pocket of the map, where a vacuum tool can be used to suck up roaming spirits in exchange for Souls. Those Souls aren’t just for show: trading 1000 of them at the area’s shrine produces a Spectral Mutation Shard, which carries roughly a one-in-four shot of applying to whichever egg it’s applied to.
