Genshin Impact Version 6.7 (Luna VIII) Patch Notes: New Character Banners, Region, Events, and Rewards

Genshin Impact has finally arrived at the final update before Snezhnaya. The Version 6.7 (Luna VIII) update is finally out today, and we have a ton of new content to get into, including a brand new explorable region which is…on the MOON?! Joining the game’s playable character is Sandrone, one of the Fatui harbingers, and we even have a new elemental reaction in the game.

Of course, the update also comes with new story content, new events, and much more from HoYoverse. We also have gameplay updates for all the refreshing content like the Spiral Abyss, Imaginarium Theater, Genius Invokation TCG, and Miliastra Wonderland.

Dear Traveler,

Below are the details of the Version “Luna VIII” update “Song of the Welkin Moon: Scherzo — Sunny Summer Fontinalia” and the update compensation.

Compensation Details

How to Update Game Client

PC: Close the game, open the Genshin Impact Launcher, and click Update.

iOS: Open the App Store and tap Update.

Android: Open the game and follow the directions on-screen.

PlayStation®: Highlight “Genshin Impact” from the Home screen, press the OPTIONS button and select “Check for Update.”

Xbox Series X|S: Open the system main menu, select “My games & apps,” select the “Manage” tab, and on the “Updates” page, find “Genshin Impact” and confirm to update.

Genshin Impact Version 6.6 (Luna VII) Patch Notes

I. New Areas

New Areas Now Available

Version “Luna VIII” introduces the following new areas, “Dunanna Pit” and “Frost Moon,” in the Nod-Krai region.

As long as you have reached Adventure Rank 20 and completed the Archon Quest Prologue: Act III “Song of the Dragon and Freedom,” a Teleport Waypoint will be automatically unlocked near Dunanna Pit in the southwest of Nod-Krai’s Misty Shoal. (If you have already completed this Archon Quest, the Teleport Waypoint will be unlocked after the update.) You’ll also receive the Primogem reward for this Teleport Waypoint when it unlocks automatically.

In addition, Travelers can unlock the Frost Moon by progressing through the World Quest “Moon Gazing.”

Adds “Ancient Moon’s Remnants”:

Unlock Criteria:

• During the World Quest “Moon Gazing,” after the Frost Moon area is unlocked, the two “Ancient Moon’s Remnants” at “Nuur Stone Circle” and “Curtain-Form Blackbody Containment Lab” also become available.

Travelers can go to “Nuur Stone Circle” and “Curtain-Form Blackbody Containment Lab” to accept the corresponding World Quests “Origin of the Sequence” and “Beneath the Lunar Sea.” After completing these quests, Travelers can use Luna Sigils to upgrade the two “Ancient Moon’s Remnants.”

In addition, there will be new Fishing Points and “Radiant Spincrystals” in the new areas.

II. New Character

“Mirrored Analysis” Sandrone (Cryo) (5-Star)

• Stellar Linchpin: Cryo
• Weapon: Claymore
• The Seventh of the Fatui Harbingers, “Marionette.” Interprets all phenomena through the prism of mathematics, and is an elegant lady who is never absent from a tea party.

Sandrone is a Cryo DMG dealer who enables her team to trigger Stellar-Conduct reactions and who, under certain conditions, deals Stellar-Conduct DMG directly with her own skills.

III. New Equipment

New Weapon

A Teaspoon of Transcendence (5-Star Claymore)

When equipped, the claymore “A Teaspoon of Transcendence” greatly increases the character’s ATK and Stellar-Conduct DMG.

The event-exclusive 5-star weapon “A Teaspoon of Transcendence” (Claymore) can be obtained from the Event Wish. Please refer to the relevant official Event Notices for specific acquisition details.

IV. New Outfits

Citlali – “Whispers of Stars and Smoke”

Citlali’s outfit. When at home, Citlali will sometimes change into attire brimming with girlish charm. At such times, anyone troubling her with official duties has promptly come under heavy attack. Thus, this outfit has become a baleful thing, a subject of fearful rumor that all give a wide berth.

Following the Version “Luna VIII” update to 2026/08/10 03:59, Citlali’s outfit “Whispers of Stars and Smoke” will be available for purchase in the Character Outfit Shop at a limited-time discount! During the discount period, the price of the outfit is 1,350 Genesis Crystals. The price will revert to 1,680 Genesis Crystals after the limited-time discount ends. The outfit can only be purchased once.

Charlotte – “Hurlock Variations”

Charlotte’s outfit. Once used as a filming costume for Great Detective Hurlock, this outfit was presented to Charlotte by the production crew as a keepsake after the shoot concluded.

During the Version “Luna VIII” period, Travelers can obtain Charlotte’s outfit “Hurlock Variations” for free through the limited-time event “Sunny Summer Fontinalia.”

Once the Version “Luna VIII” period is over, Travelers may buy the outfit from the Character Outfit Shop.

V. New Main Story

1. New Story Quest

“Sunny Summer Fontinalia” Quest Chain

Quests will be unlocked after the “Sunny Summer Fontinalia” event begins.

Quest Unlock Criteria During Event:

• Reach Adventure Rank 20 or above
• Complete Archon Quest Prologue: Act III – “Song of the Dragon and Freedom”
• The “Focused Experience Mode” function is available for this quest.

After the event ends, the Story Quest “Sunny Summer Fontinalia” will become permanently available. Travelers who have reached Adventure Rank 26 or higher and completed Archon Quest Prologue: Act III “Song of the Dragon and Freedom” may accept this quest via Quest Overview > Event Quests.

2. New World Quests

“Moon Gazing” Quest Chain

• Reach Adventure Rank 20 and complete Archon Quest Prologue: Act III “Song of the Dragon and Freedom” to unlock.
• The “Moon Gazing” quest series includes voice-overs. Turn on audio for a better experience.

VI. System Update

New Gameplay

“Witch’s Revelation”

Complete the Hexenzirkel guidance quest “Revelations by Chance” to obtain the Witch’s Revelation Case. Unveil the revelations inside to unlock Lucid Revelations for the corresponding characters and grant them additional buffs.

Characters eligible for these enhancements:

Wriothesley, Yae Miko, Cyno, Yumemizuki Mizuki, Qiqi, Diona, and Beidou.

Unlock Criteria

• Complete Archon Quest Prologue: Act III – “Song of the Dragon and Freedom”
• You can unveil the revelation when the corresponding character reaches Lv. 70.

VII. Elemental Reaction

Stellar-Conduct Reaction

When certain conditions are met, Cryo and Electro can trigger Stellar-Conduct. A Starlight Prism will appear on the field, turning the surrounding area into a Polestar Field for a short period of time.

While within a Polestar Field: All characters receive a Cryo and Electro DMG Bonus, and when opponents are hit by Cryo or Electro attacks, the field will store the dissipating elemental energies and then completely release them every 4s. This further increases the aforementioned DMG Bonus and also increases the Base Stellar-Conduct DMG coefficient for 4s. Additionally, opponents will also have their Physical RES lowered.

Certain characters gain additional effects of “Radiance: Stellar-Conduct” while within the Polestar Field, enhancing certain Talents and skill effects.

Certain characters can utilize their Talents to deal Stellar-Conduct DMG to enemies. This DMG can trigger CRIT Hits.

VIII. New Enemy

“Precursor’s Secret Source Matrix of Overseer Network”

A Secret Source mechanism that can operate amidst the starry sea, far away from the Ley Lines.

In combat, the Precursor’s Secret Source Matrix of Overseer Network uses Archaeolune Energy to initiate a Convergence Field and gathers Hydro to enhance its workings. Freeze it at this time and then use Shatter, Melt, and other Elemental Reactions to break up the ice and halt the Convergence Field’s operation.

IX. Miliastra Wonderland

Miliastra Wonderland Update

Cosmetic Sets

The “Breezes Meet the Fatebound Sea” Event Ode brings four new sets: “Chromatic Fatebound Sea,” “Sharp-Fanged Overlord,” “Savannah Dappled Flash,” and “Propitious Breeze.”

“Chronicles of the Realms”/”Epic of the Realms” features 3 new sets: “Invigorating Chill,” “Wasteland Strider,” and “Dusksea Sojourner.”

Available for a limited time only from the Miliastra Shop: Three new sets. They are “Spiritvessel Tzitzimitl,” “Sweet Recipe,” and “Loafing Shark.”

“Encounter Echoes” Standard Ode: One new Set Catalog, “Salted Lemon Fizz,” is available.

Take part in the “Raiment Collection: Mellow Warmth” event to obtain the new “Dreamy Summer Leisure” set.

After the version update, the set “Splatter Artist” that was obtainable through an earlier limited-time event will be available for a limited time at the Miliastra Shop.

Lobby

With the new version update, the Public Lobby will be changed to a new theme: “Secluded Isle: Radiant Sunshine.”

Travelers can purchase the new Private Lobby “Secluded Isle: Radiant Sunshine” through the Miliastra Pass.

Wonderlands

Adds a Craftsperson subscription feature. Travelers can subscribe to their favorite Craftspeople to receive real-time updates on newly published or updated Wonderlands.

Adds a one-tap Like feature, allowing Travelers to like all teammates or players at once from the Wonderland stage results screen.

Adds an “Early Access” option for Wonderlands. When publishing a Wonderland, Craftspeople can choose to release it as “Early Access.” Once published, Travelers can view the “Early Access” label and the creator’s notes on the stage details page. Early Access Wonderlands are counted toward play statistics as usual.

The new version also adds additional cosmetic components, expressions, and special effects.

For updates regarding the “Miliastra Wonderland” stage editor and Miliastra Sandbox, Travelers can check “My Miliastra Wonderland” > “Notices.”

X. Genius Invokation TCG

Genius Invokation TCG Gameplay Update

New Character Card: Nefer and the corresponding Talent card. Corresponding invitation duel and guest challenges have been added to the Player List.

New Character Cards: “Black Serpent Knight: Windcutter,” “Wayward Hermetic Spiritspeaker,” and the corresponding Talent cards. The Tavern Challenges have also been added.

New Action Cards: “Lil’ Fungi’s Fun-Tastic Fiesta,” “The Power of Research,” “Nightmare Omen,” “Elemental Transfiguration: Aquabreeze Blessing,” “Elemental Transfiguration: Thunderbloom Blessing,” and “Lakkaberry Pie” have been added. These can now be purchased from Prince at The Cat’s Tail.

The Forge Realm’s Temper is once again available. The theme of this edition is “The Forge Realm’s Temper: Endless Swarm”:

1. Defeat endless waves of enemies during the rounds in “The Forge Realm’s Temper: Endless Swarm” to accrue score.
2. After you complete the stage battle, you will gain a score and the corresponding rewards based on the highest score you got in the stage.
3. Different stages will contain different special rules that grant buffs. Use these rules well to fight more effectively.

XI. Imaginarium Theater

Update Scheduled for August 1

After the Version “Luna VIII” update, a new season of Imaginarium Theater will be available on August 1, 2026.

Required Elemental Types: Hydro, Electro, and Cryo

Opening Characters: Yelan, Aino, Flins, Ororon, Skirk, and Layla

When Imaginarium Theater is open, the corresponding Opening Characters will obtain Fantastical Blessings.

Special Guest Stars: Arlecchino, Chevreuse, Kaedehara Kazuha, and Tighnari

After the new season of Imaginarium Theater begins, the characters Yumemizuki Mizuki, Skirk, Nilou, and Kujou Sara will each gain a new “Thespian Trick” that can be exchanged from the NPC Wolfy.

XII. Spiral Abyss

Update Scheduled for July 16

Following the Version “Luna VIII” update, a new season of Spiral Abyss will come online on July 16.

Floor 11 Ley Line Disorder changed to:

• All characters in the party gain a 60% Cryo DMG Bonus.
• All characters in the party gain a 60% Electro DMG Bonus.

Floor 12 Ley Line Disorders changed to:

• First Half: Characters’ Superconduct DMG increased by 200% and Stellar-Conduct DMG increased by 75%.
• Second Half: Characters’ Electro-Charged DMG increased by 200% and Lunar-Charged DMG increased by 75%.

Updated the monster lineup on Floors 11 – 12 of the Spiral Abyss.

Blessing of the Abyssal Moon:

Ice-Surging Moon

When the active character deals Cryo DMG to opponents with Charged Attacks, their attacks will unleash a shockwave at the opponent’s position that deals True DMG. This can trigger once every 3s.

XIII. Other Update Details

7. Repertoire of Myriad Melodies Update:

○ Adds new music album “Nod-Krai: Where Roads Are Pledged to Cross.”

8. Adds new Wildlife: Moonglow Frostfin Whale and Moonglow Jellyfish.

9. Adds the following Local Legends and the corresponding challenges: “Prism Slime” and “Moosh-Tehir.” Complete all the challenges following this update to obtain the “Brimming Spiritflow” avatar frame. The “Glory-Forged Warrior” interface is unlocked after Travelers complete the corresponding challenges for all Local Legends and claim their rewards.

10. Souvenir Shop Available: After upgrading all 6 Meeting Points in the Nod-Krai region and the 2 Ancient Moon’s Remnants in the Frost Moon area to their max level, Travelers can use Luna Sigils to purchase items from the Voynich Guild in Nod-Krai.

11. After the Version Luna VIII update, the weapons “Cashflow Supervision” (Catalyst) and “Kagura’s Verity” (Catalyst) will gain new enhancement effects.

Adjustments & Optimizations

● Enemies

Optimizes the movement behavior of the enemy “Il Dottore” in the Trounce Domain “Binding Field of Universal Nirvana” in Co-Op Mode.

● Quests

Optimizes dialogue progression in quests: In most quest dialogue sequences, Travelers will no longer need to wait for the current line to finish playing before pressing the screen to advance to the next line. This allows Travelers to progress through the story at their own pace. (This optimization will first be available in Version “Luna VIII” for the “Sunny Summer Fontinalia” and “Moon Gazing” quest chains. More new quests will support this feature in future versions.)

● Audio

1. Optimizes the sound effects in certain interfaces and quests.

2. Optimizes Chinese voice-over lines in certain quests.

3. Optimizes part of the Japanese voice-over performance in a cutscene of the Archon Quest “Of Myriad Paths, Flux, and Dissolution.”

4. Optimizes the wording of a Japanese voice-over line each for Escoffier, Columbina, and Nicole in the characters’ Profile > Voice-Over interface.

5. Optimizes the sound mixing for Mualani when she joins the party in the Party Setup interface.

● System

1. Adds support for automatic switching between controller and keyboard-and-mouse controls in certain PC gameplay scenarios, in the open-world main interface. After “Auto Switch Control Device in Main Menu” is enabled under Settings > Controls, the game will automatically switch to the corresponding control mode based on the current input device (controller or keyboard and mouse).

2. Adds support for keyboard shortcuts on certain screens on PC. (For example, on the Character screen, Travelers can use W/S to navigate up and down, Q/E to switch pages, R to open the Outfit screen, and F to level up characters.)

● Exploration

Optimizes the display logic for the Multi-Layered Map button:

a. The Multi-Layered Map button now indicate the Traveler’s current layer.

b. When the sidebar is open on the Map screen, the Multi-Layered Map button in the corresponding position will no longer be obscured and will remain visible alongside the sidebar.

● Miliastra Wonderland

1. After the version update, Travelers can play musical instruments in the lobby.

2. Optimizes the skirt physics for the Cosmetic Set “Cherry Blossom Driftwind” while moving.

3. Optimizes the functionality of the Miliastra Information screen: The Wardrobe screen will now mark the cosmetic set currently being worn.

● Other

Optimizes the model appearance of the outfit hem for Nicole when the character is standing idle on sloped terrain.

1. Fixes an issue whereby, while the Archon Quest “Of Myriad Paths, Flux, and Dissolution” was active, the objectives “Go home with Kaveh” in Kaveh’s Hangout Event “Past Mementos” and “Follow Alhaitham” in Alhaitham’s Story Quest “Pride and Prejudice” could not be completed.

2. Fixes an issue whereby Wanderer’s Vision would display incorrectly when casting a special Elemental Burst during the “Defeat your opponents with everything that you’ve got” objective in the Archon Quest “Of Myriad Paths, Flux, and Dissolution.”

3. Fixes an issue whereby, under certain circumstances, enemies’ weaknesses would disappear when completing the quest objective “Defeat the opponents” during the Archon Quest “Of Myriad Paths, Flux, and Dissolution.”

4. Fixes an issue whereby, under certain circumstances, some “Clusterleaf of Cultivation” would disappear when completing the objective “Enter the Sanctuary of Surasthana by stealth” during the Archon Quest “As All Falls to Emptiness.”

5. Fixes an issue where Nicole, Faruzan, and Kaveh would unexpectedly disappear during the “Go to the Great Hall of Truths” objective in the Archon Quest “As All Falls to Emptiness.”

6. Fixes an issue in Alhaitham’s Story Quest “The Illusions of the Mob” — “A Thorough Investigation” whereby some inner monologue content could be missing when using Nahida’s Elemental Skill to interact with NPCs.

1. Fixes an issue where the enemy “Watcher: Fallen Vigil” had a small chance of not falling down after its “Elemental Star” was broken.

2. Fixes an issue where the “Supreme Overseer” state of enemy “Watcher: Fallen Vigil” could be abnormally interrupted under certain circumstances.

● Characters

1. Fixes an issue whereby, after the Version “Luna VII” update, Noelle’s weapon would not display its glowing effect when she cast her Elemental Burst.

2. Fixes an issue whereby, under certain circumstances, the Pyro Traveler’s eyelashes and eyebrows could display incorrectly when Elemental Sight was used after changing into the “As Heaven and Earth Are Made Anew” outfit.

3. Fixes an issue where, under certain circumstances, after the character Prune had defeated certain enemies, the first hit of her Normal Attack would fail to lock on to other enemies.

4. Fixes an issue whereby, under certain circumstances, after the character Prune performed a Normal Attack and interacted with certain interfaces, closing the interface would cause the character to get stuck in a specific attack animation.

5. Fixes an issue on PC and console where zooming in the camera caused the Seelie summoned by Nicole’s Elemental Burst to display abnormally.

● Genius Invokation TCG

Fixes an issue whereby the “Gains additional 2 HP” effect of the Support Card “Chenyu Vale” would increase a character’s Max HP without healing them.

● Miliastra Wonderland

1. Fixes an issue in Co-Op Mode whereby, under certain circumstances, when other Travelers’ Manekins used Expressions in the Take Photo screen, their Manekins would sink into the ground.

2. Fixes an issue in certain situations where, when using keyboard and mouse, some keys would become unresponsive after opening a Manekin’s Expressions screen in the Lobby.

3. Fixes an issue whereby, under certain circumstances, Travelers could incorrectly receive an “Event Ending” reminder for an already-ended Miliastra Wonderland event while playing the game.

4. Fixes an issue whereby Headwear-related effects could still appear during a Manekin’s entrance animation when wearing the “Scaleblade Chronicles” Cosmetic Set without the matching Headwear equipped.

5. Fixes an issue whereby Wonderland Manekins’ hair color would display incorrectly when using “Expression: Satisfaction.”

● Audio

1. Fixes an issue whereby there was a chance that the background music could play incorrectly when the enemy Il Dottore entered the second phase of battle.

2. Fixes an issue where some English voice-over would incorrectly switch to Japanese when playing the Story Quests “A Lanternlit Ode to the Silver Moon” and “The Realm of Clouds.”

3. Fixes an issue where relevant Skill sound effects were missing when Columbina revived other characters.

● Serenitea Pot

Fixes an issue whereby, under certain circumstances, there was a chance that the red exclamation mark on the Realm Music screen could display incorrectly on mobile devices.

● System

1. Fixes an issue in the Take Photo > Expressions interface whereby the “Pensive” expression for Nicole was incorrectly labeled as “Confident.”

2. Fixes an issue whereby the hand model of Nicole would display incorrectly on the Character > Talents screen.

3. Fixes an issue in the “Travel Log” interface whereby some dialogue in the Archon Quest “As All Falls to Emptiness” had incorrect display positions or text errors.

4. Fixes an issue whereby damage dealt by characters to the Deepdark Shield would not be recorded by certain system interfaces, such as Achievements and the “Strongest Single Strike” record in the Spiral Abyss.

5. Fixes an issue whereby the icon for the weapon “Angelos’ Heptades” was not centered when the weapon was obtained on the Wish screen.

6. Fixes an issue whereby local specialty collection area markers could disappear from the mini-map after Travelers marked a collection area, switched to the map of certain other areas, and then closed the map.

1. Fixes an issue whereby the game could unexpectedly crash upon launch on devices running iOS 27 Developer Beta.

2. Fixes an issue where the damage numbers for Lunar Reactions were displayed at an incorrect layer.

3. Fixes an issue where the effects of some characters’ Echo Cosmetic would display abnormally at certain frame rates.

4. Fixes an issue in Imaginarium Theater where the corresponding Attribute bonus did not take effect after the “Blessing Level” exceeded Level 25.

5. Fixes text errors in certain quests, interfaces, dialogues and descriptions.

6. Fixes an issue in the Temple of Space area whereby the reflections on certain glass objects could appear incorrectly when characters approached them.

7. Fixes some text errors in certain languages and optimizes text. (Note: Related in-game functions have not changed. Travelers can view the changes in different languages by going to the Paimon Menu > Settings > Language and changing the Game Language.) ◆ Optimizes inconsistencies between certain voice-overs and their corresponding lines. ◆ Optimizes certain English translations.

Genius Invokation TCG Balance Adjustment

Genius Invokation TCG Balance Adjustment

1. Adjusts the “Lava Blessing: Remelting” effect from the Support Card “Elemental Transfiguration: Lava Blessing”: The effect that generates a shield now triggers “after the opponent takes Pyro DMG or Geo DMG.”

2. Adjusts the Elemental Dice cost and damage of “Superconduct Blessing: Electric Surge” on the Support Card “Elemental Transfiguration: Superconduct Blessing”: The Electro Dice cost has been adjusted from 3 to 1, and the Piercing DMG has been changed from 2 to 1.

3. Adjusts the Elemental Dice cost of Talent Card “Keen Sight” of Character Card “Tighnari”: The Dendro Dice cost has been adjusted from 4 to 3.
