Genshin Impact 7.1 Livestream Recap: New Banners, Events, and Anniversary Rewards

Genshin Impact Version 7.1 is going to be one of the biggest updates of the Snezhnaya storyline so far. The Special Program for Version 7.1 just concluded, and HoYoverse revealed two new playable characters, returning characters, major story developments, new bosses, events, and all the rewards for the game’s sixth anniversary.

Version 7.1 is scheduled to launch on September 23, 2026, across all platforms. Here’s everything announced during the livestream, including the upcoming banners, new quests, events, anniversary rewards, and limited-time redemption codes.

Genshin Impact 7.1 Banners, Story, and New Content

The Version 7.1 banner schedule is split into two phases, introducing Vesna and Vodyanitsa before bringing back two popular characters.

Vesna is a 5-star Anemo sword user and on-field DPS who specializes in Stellar-Swirl mechanics. Vodyanitsa is a 5-star Hydro catalyst user focused on healing and team support.

On the weapon side, we’re getting Beyond the Chrysalis, a 5-star sword. Hymn of the Maelstrom, a 5-star catalyst. And the 4-star Silver Light, which can be earned through an event.

On the story side, Version 7.1 continues the Snezhnaya arc with the White Night, Like a Dream Upon Waking, and A Rekviem for the Underworld Archon Quests. One of the biggest moments teased during the livestream is a confrontation between Dainsleif and Ronova, the Ruler of Death. Ronova will become a new weekly boss, while Guardian Blade of Drifting Snow is being added as a new world boss.

Genshin Impact 7.1 Events, Codes, and Anniversary Rewards

Version 7.1 will feature several limited-time activities, including Silverwing in Pursuit of the Moon, Carefree Snowball Fight, Predictive Victory Dynamics, and a rerun of Overflowing Favor. Silverwing in Pursuit of the Moon will be particularly worthwhile for players looking to expand their weapon collection, as completing the event provides the new Silver Light sword.

The update also coincides with Genshin Impact’s sixth anniversary, bringing some of the game’s most substantial free rewards. Players will be able to select one free 5-star character from the standard pool, while a separate selector allows them to choose one limited 5-star from Tartaglia, Baizhu, Nilou, Chiori, Varesa, and Clorinde.

Additional anniversary rewards include 1,600 Primogems, 10 Intertwined Fates, 80,000 Mora, eight Hero’s Wit, two Fragile Resin, one Sanctifying Elixir, and several other items. The rewards will be distributed through a combination of login and in-game mail rewards.

The livestream also provided three redemption codes, each worth 100 Primogems:
