Control Resonant Trophy Guide: How to Unlock All the Achievements

3 days ago 6

Control Resonant has 50 trophies on PS5 and 49 achievements on Xbox Series X|S and PC, covering everything from story progression and combat to side quests, exploration, upgrades, and some easily overlooked challenges. If you’re aiming to 100% the game, you’ll need to do more than simply finish the main story.

The good news is that the full list is fairly forgiving. You only need one playthrough; there are no difficulty-specific trophies or achievements, and Assist Mode doesn’t lock you out of anything either. Below you will find the complete list, along with how to unlock every trophy and achievement.

All Trophies and Achievements in Control Resonant & How to Get Them

As mentioned above, the game features 50 trophies on PS5 and 49 achievements on Xbox Series X|S and PC. While the requirements are identical across the three platforms, the PlayStation version simply adds the coveted Platinum Trophy for completing the rest of the list.

Spoiler Alert !!!

The following section contains potential story spoilers for Control Resonant!

These hidden trophies and achievements are mostly tied to the story and Resonant bosses. If you want to experience the campaign without knowing what is coming, skip this section until you’re finished. Otherwise, here is every hidden requirement:

Most of these are straightforward story or boss trophies, but Graffiti Artist is the big one to keep in mind. You need to defeat all six Resonants and defeat the Hedron to complete the Mural in the Gap. If you don’t finish every Resonant before the ending, you can still return after the story and defeat the ones you missed.

What You Need to Know Before Going for 100% in Control Resonant

The Platinum and full achievement set are more about seeing everything Control Resonant has to offer than mastering its combat. Even though New Game+ does exist, you can complete the entire list in one playthrough, and the game lets you keep exploring Manhattan after the story ends.

1. There Is Only One Semi-Missable Trophy

The “Be What You Want to Be” achievement is tied to the “The Party Won’t Stop” side quest in the West Incursion Zone. During the karaoke sequence, you need to select all nine correct lyrics to save everyone. Pick the wrong answer and one of the dancers dies, preventing the trophy from unlocking during that attempt. Thankfully, this isn’t a true one-and-done situation. Control Resonant keeps permanent saves after main quests, so you can load an earlier save and return to the karaoke sequence without having to restart the entire game.

2. Assist Mode Is Safe to Use

If combat starts getting in the way of your trophy hunt, you can use Assist Mode without losing access to trophies or achievements. The settings include options such as Immortality and One-Hit Kills, so you can make the combat considerably easier if you want to focus on exploration and completion instead.

3. You Don’t Need Every Collectible

Control Resonant has plenty of documents and other collectibles, but most of them are not required for 100% completion. Dylan’s Drawings are the notable exception, with the “Work-Life Balance” achievement requiring all 11 Sketchbook entries.

4. Complete the Optional Content Before Cleaning Up

A lot of the longer trophy requirements are tied to side content rather than individual collectibles. You’ll need 20 FBC Tasks, all the Secret Hideouts, all of Dylan’s Drawings, the major Threshold activities, the dog quests, Pope’s Research, and the relevant Altered Item quests. It’s worth working on these as you explore instead of leaving everything until the end.

How Long Does It Take to 100% Control Resonant?

A story-focused run of Control Resonant reportedly takes roughly 20 to 30 hours, while a full completion run is estimated at around 40 to 50 hours. Your final time will depend heavily on how much optional content you complete along the way and whether you use Assist Mode.

For the Platinum, the biggest time sinks are likely to be the Zone Upgrades, FBC Tasks, Secret Hideouts, Sketchbook entries, Artifact crafting, and the various side quests. That said, none of the trophies require you to collect absolutely everything in the game, so don’t turn your first run into a checklist unless you actually want to.

Are you going straight for 100% in Control Resonant, or are you planning to finish Dylan’s story first and clean up the trophies and achievements afterward? Which requirement looks like the biggest headache so far? Let us know in the comments below!
