Spider-Man: Brand New Day Home Release Reportedly Only 10 Days Away

Spider-Man: Brand New Day could get a digital release next month. According to a report by WhenToStream, the Marvel movie is reportedly expected to release on VOD and digital platforms on October 6, 2026. However, neither Sony nor Marvel Studios has officially confirmed this. Spider-Man: Brand New Day opened in U.S. theaters on July 31, 2026.

The Tom Holland-led movie earned a domestic opening of $360.1 million (via Box Office Mojo), which is the biggest opening weekend in U.S. theaters ever. So far, it has surpassed $946 million in domestic earnings and $1.534 billion internationally. The total worldwide box office of Spider-Man: Brand New Day stands at $2.481 billion while still continuing its theatrical run.

Why Spider-Man: Brand New Day Digital Release Could Take Longer

Despite the report about the expected release, Spider-Man: Brand New Day could take longer to have a digital premiere. One of the biggest reasons behind this delay could be an extension of its theatrical run. According to a report by Murphy’s Multiverse, Sony already had established an agreement with theaters to extend the window through November 16, 2026. According to the outlet, the report comes via Global Box Office, which noted that the movie’s strong box-office performance and theatrical demand have led to an extension.

That said, neither Sony nor Marvel has officially addressed the extension window. If the studio extends its theatrical run, Spider-Man: Brand New Day would be Sony’s longest exclusive theatrical run since Spider- Man: No Way Home (2021). So, if the extension continues through November, it’s highly unlikely that the movie would be released digitally on October 6.

Where Will Spider-Man: Brand New Day Release on Digital?

The best option you have is theaters. Sony’s official site says Spider-Man: Brand New Day is currently playing exclusively in movie theaters. So, it is not available for digital streaming or rent/purchase at the moment. According to the aforementioned report, it is expected to have a VOD release, which means viewers would be able to rent or buy the movie on selected digital streaming platforms.

Under Sony’s deal with Netflix, most movies by the studio go directly to the streaming platform after ending their theatrical run. However, until and unless the studio releases an official update about the digital release, we can only hit our nearest theaters to watch Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
