Control Resonant: Laundromat Puzzle Step-by-Step Guide

Control Resonant has an open world for you to explore, and Remedy Entertainment has added many optional secrets and puzzles to find. The laundromat in Central is one of the earliest places that you might come across, and it has a pretty weird puzzle. You’ll have to translate a binary pattern into the rows of washing machines inside the building.

The puzzle is hard to understand at first. But once you understand how it translates to the washing machines, it becomes pretty easy. Here’s a step-by-step guide to finding and completing the Central Laundromat puzzle in Control Resonant. Check out the solution to the Beach Day puzzle as well.

How to Reach the Central Laundromat in Control Resonant

You can find the laundromat in the southern section of the Central Zone, around the East Park Station area. Depending on where you’re going from, you can easily go to the laundromat from the nearby streets and rooftops.

When you arrive, the entrance will initially be blocked off by the Hiss. Look for the trails of floating debris leading away from the building. Follow these trails, and you’ll find the Hiss growths that are responsible.

Once you destroy the Hiss growths and clear all the enemies protecting them, the barrier will go down, and you can return to the laundromat.

Once you’re inside, go to the bulletin board at the back of the store. You will find two notes. One complains about the broken washing machines, while the other has a code with the puzzle:

• 0001000
• 001100
• 100001
• 000000
• 000000
• 000000
• 100000

The numbers correspond directly to the rows of washing machines. A 1 means the corresponding machine needs to be switched on, while a 0 means it should remain off. This is where the solution becomes pretty simple if you can translate the answer.

Control Resonant Laundromat Puzzle Solution

Before starting, switch off every machine that can be interacted with. You then need to match the seven lines of the note to the seven rows of machines.

This is the solution for the puzzle:

• Row 1 — 0001000: Turn on the fourth machine.
• Row 2 — 001100: Turn on the third and fourth machines.
• Row 3 — 100001: Turn on the first and sixth machines.
• Row 4 — 000000: Leave every machine off.
• Row 5 — 000000: Leave every machine off.
• Row 6 — 000000: Leave every machine off.
• Row 7 — 100000: Turn on the first machine.

The tricky part is finding which row of washing machines corresponds to the lines on the note. When facing the bulletin board, use the row of seven machines along the back wall as the first row. Continue through the rows by following the arrangement of machines around the room.

Once the machine arrangement exactly matches the binary pattern, you should hear and see the mechanism activate as a hidden section of the laundromat opens.

Head through the newly revealed passage and go down the stairs. There, you’ll find a Health Upgrade Point, along with documents and other story rewards. Once you’ve collected everything, you can return upstairs and continue exploring Central.
