All PS Plus Monthly Free Games for October 2026

PlayStation Plus is heading into October with another three games for subscribers to claim. This month’s lineup covers racing, multiplayer shooting, and co-op action, with a few extra bonuses available alongside the games.

Subscribers can also claim limited-time rewards tied to the spooky season, as well as a set of exclusive avatars. Here’s everything you need to know about the PS Plus monthly free games and bonuses for October 2026.

1 F1 25 (2025)

If you’ve been waiting to try the latest Formula 1 game, October gives you a chance to jump in without buying it separately. F1 25 is the official game of the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship and brings back the Braking Point story mode alongside a revamped My Team experience.

My Team 2.0 lets you run your own F1 team, handling everything from facilities and staff to sponsors while also taking part in races. You can also play through the regular Career mode or head online, where the new F1 World multiplayer mode lets you race alongside friends against AI drivers.

2 Hunt: Showdown 1896 (2024)

Hunt: Showdown 1896 puts a different spin on multiplayer shooting. You and up to two other players must track down supernatural bosses, collect their Bounty, and reach an extraction point while other Hunters are trying to do the exact same thing.

The game rewards players who pay attention to their surroundings, with gunfire, monsters, and other sounds giving away your position. Its 1896 update also brought a new Colorado map, an engine upgrade, and various gameplay changes. Crytek (yes, the makers of Crysis) has continued supporting the game throughout 2026, with the latest “Blood Testament” update arriving just last month.

3 Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 (2024)

Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 brings the series’ giant enemies and soldiers into a voxel-based world. The Earth has been shattered into pieces, and you must now build a four-person team from characters collected throughout the game before sending them into battle.

There are more than 100 missions and over 100 characters to collect, along with hundreds of weapons and accessories. The game also brings together soldiers and enemies from across the EDF series, while supporting four-player online co-op and two-player local split-screen on PS5 and PS4.

4 Bonus: Spider-Man: Brand New Day Avatars

PlayStation Plus members can also claim a set of limited-edition Spider-Man: Brand New Day avatars through Sony Pictures Core starting October 6. The avatars are available at no extra cost to PS Plus members, while non-members will need to get the movie on Sony Pictures Core to receive them.

The promotion ends on October 20, 2026, so you’ll need to claim the avatars from the store before then. Unlike the monthly games, they won’t simply be added to your library with the rest of the lineup.

5 Bonus: PlayStation Plus Exclusive HorrorFest Packs

PlayStation Plus members can also claim several horror-themed in-game packs throughout October. The bonuses include:

• Call of Duty: Warzone Horror Bundle: Available October 1
• Hunt: Showdown 1896 Starter Pack: Available October 6
• Overwatch Dragur Reinhardt + 5 Tier Skips Pack: Available October 7

Sony notes that you must own the relevant base game to access the contents of these packs.
