WrestleMania 42 Winners Full List: Brock Lesnar Retires, Night 1 & 2 Updates and More

WrestleMania 42 wrapped with a great showdown between Roman Reigns and CM Punk in the main event of Night 2. The Las Vegas-set event didn’t disappoint like last year, giving us some memorable moments from two nights. John Cena, who served as the host after his WWE retirement, hyped up the crowd for the event.

One of the significant moments in this year’s event was Brock Lesnar‘s potential retirement from professional wrestling. The Beast bowed out to Oba Femi, who made an impressive WrestleMania debut during the second night of the event.

On Night 1, Cody Rhodes took on Randy Orton in the main event, which also led to Pat McAfee’s dramatic exit from the wrestling world. On the women’s side of the game, Becky Lynch, Liv Morgan, and Rhea Ripley won big during this year’s event. Here’s the full breakdown of the matches and the winners of the different matches held over two nights.

WrestleMania 42 Full Winners List

WrestleMania 42 kicked off with a six-man tag team match on April 18 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Among the matches were four championship title matches for women and four for the men. There were several non-championship matches, where established stars and newcomers gave some of their best performances. Here are the results of all the matches held over the two nights.

Non-Championship Matches

Six-man tag team match on Night 1 (WINNER – The Usos and LA Knight)

In the six-man tag team match, the Usos and LA Knight joined forces against The Vision (Logan Paul and Austin Theory), who were joined by guest star IShowSpeed. As the match began, The Vision tried their best to isolate Jimmy and not allow Jey and Knight to tag in. However, the Usos and Knight seemed to thwart every one of their plans.

When Knight tagged in, Theory held him in place for Speed to strike him. However, Knight’s timely counter led to Theory and Speed colliding with each other. This allowed Knight to execute a BFT on Theory and pin him for the victory. Paul was angry with Speed for losing the match and attacked him. When he was about to dive on top of Speed on the broadcast table, the Usos and Knight intervened. They encouraged Speed to execute a frog splash, which sent Paul through the announcer’s table.

Unsanctioned match on Night 1 (WINNER – Jacob Fatu)

Jacob Fatu and Drew McIntyre’s unsanctioned match saw the use of many tools, including the referee’s belt, a wrench, and a toolbox. In the end, Fatu hit McIntyre with a toolbox and executed a double jump moonsault through a table for the win.

Singles match on Night 1 (WINNER – Gunther)

Gunther took on Seth Rollins in this singles match on Night 1. They had a ringside brawl before the match officially kicked off. Once the match kicked off inside the ring, both men were equally powerful. However, Rollins’ former teammate, Bron Breakker, returned to the ring and speared him. He then threw him into the ring, where Gunther executed a sleeper hold. When Rollins passed out, the referee awarded the win to Gunther. Breakker returned again to deliver a second spear to Rollins.

Singles match on Night 2 (WINNER – Oba Femi)

WrestleMania debutant Oba Femi took on The Beast during the opening singles match on Night 2. The match lasted nearly 5 minutes as the newcomer bravely fought off Lesnar’s strikes. When Lesnar landed an F5 on his opponent, Femi quickly recovered and responded with a chokeslam. He followed it with a Fall From Grace that eventually led to Lesnar’s defeat.

An emotional Lesnar remained in the ring and left his gloves and boots in the middle of the ring, signaling his retirement. He then hugged Paul Heyman and waved at the crowd before finally leaving the ring.

Street Fight on Night 2 (WINNER – “The Demon” Finn Bálor)

Dominik Mysterio and “The Demon” Finn Bálor fought in a street fight that lasted more than 10 minutes. While Mysterio delivered a good game, Bálor proved to be vicious in the final minutes, retaliating with a Sling Blade and a series of shotgun dropkicks. He delivered the Coup de Grâce that sent Mysterio through a table. He then pinned him for the victory.

Championship Matches

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on Night 1 (WINNER – Brie Bella & Paige with Nikki Bella)

Nikki Bella couldn’t join her twin, Brie Bella, in the fatal four-way tag team match that decided the Women’s Tag Team Champions. Paige, who returned to the ring after almost a decade, joined Brie in place of Nikki. They took on three of the powerful women’s tag team, including reigning champions, Nia Jax and Lash Legend, aka The Irresistible Forces.

Nikki did help, even though she was on crutches, and hit Charlotte Flair with her crutch. Seizing the opportunity, Paige delivered her signature RamPaige to take down Flair’s partner Alexa Bliss. It was the move that made them the new Tag Team Champions.

WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship on Night 1 (WINNER – Becky Lynch)

AJ Lee defended the Intercontinental Championship against Becky Lynch. The match had Jessika Carr as a biased referee, who had it out for Lynch. Her issues with the referee almost cost her submission loss. However, Lynch was able to pull Carr into the path of Lee’s attack, incapacitating her. She then drove Lee into the turnbuckle and delivered the Manhandle Slam to become the Intercontinental Champion for the third time.

Women’s World Championship on Night 1 (WINNER – Liv Morgan)

Liv Morgan defeated reigning champion Stephanie Vaquer to win the Women’s World Championship. But she received help from her Judgment Day friends, Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez, who attacked Vaquer. While Vaquer was able to largely fend these too off, Morgan used the distraction to drive her into the steel steps. She then executed a Codebreaker, followed by an Oblivion, to become a three-time Women’s World Champion.

Undisputed WWE Championship on Night 1 (WINNER – Cody Rhodes)

In the main event of Night 1, Cody Rhodes went up against Randy Orton, who arrived in the ring with Pat McAfee. The latter attacked Rhodes before the match began. Rhodes delivered a Cross Rhodes that sent McAfee on a broadcast table. Jelly Roll came to help Rhodes and performed an elbow drop. It sent McAfee through the broadcast table, and he was removed on a stretcher.

When Rhodes and Orton’s match officially started, Rhodes began targeting Orton’s injured back. The latter suffered a head injury at one point. The two stars exchanged their signature moves at one point, with Orton delivering a Cross Rhodes, while Rhodes performed an RKO. When Orton accidentally struck the referee, McAfee returned to the ring in a referee’s shirt to count a near-fall for Orton.

An angry Orton delivered an RKO to McAfee. Rhodes seized the opportunity to execute a Cross Rhodes and win the Championship title. However, Orton attacked Rhodes with the championship belt after the loss, standing over the champion as the night concluded.

WWE Intercontinental Championship on Night 2 (WINNER – Penta)

Penta defended his Intercontinental Championship against five wrestlers during a six-pack ladder match and retained his title. During the final moments of the match, Je’Von Evans attempted to claim the title, but Rusev pushed his ladder away, and he hung on the hook. He hit Rusev with an OG cutter but before he could go for the title, Penta hit him with a Mexican Destroyer. He then got on the ladder to retrieve the title.

WWE United States Championship on Night 2 (WINNER – Trick Williams with Lil Yachty)

Trick Williams and Lil Yachty made quite the impression on the crowd when they made their WrestleMania debut. They took on defending United States Champion Sami Zayn. The latter started out great, countering Williams’ Trick Shot with a Blue Thunder Bomb. He drove Yachty through a barrier and delivered a Helluva Kick to Williams.

However, when the referee was distracted, Yachty clotheslined Zayn over the top rope and Williams delivered a spin kick. Williams dodged a Helluva Kick from Zayn and countered with a Trick Shot that sealed his victory and earned him the United States Championship title.

WWE Women’s Championship on Night 2 (WINNER – Rhea Ripley)

In the penultimate match of Night 2, Rhea Ripley and Jade Cargill fought for the WWE Women’s Championship. Cargill attacked Ripley with a crossface submission and a spinebuster, dominating early in the game. Michin and B-Fab came onto the ring to help Cargill, but Ripley knocked B-Fab off the apron.

But the distraction almost cost Ripley a pinfall loss. Ripley got help soon, as Iyo Sky appeared and took down Michin and B-Fab with an Asai moonsault. Ripley executed a final Riptide to seal her victory and earn the WWE Women’s Championship.

World Heavyweight Championship on Night 2 (WINNER – Roman Reigns)

In the main event of Night 2, Roman Reigns went up against CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship. The match began at ringside, with Punk leaping over a barricade to launch an attack against Reigns right from the get-go. Reigns got the upper hand early on and even injured Punk’s forehead using the steel steps.

Punk used three GTS against Reigns, but the latter dominated Punk for much of the duration of the match. Eventually, Punk was too tired, and Reigns locked in with two consecutive spears to win the match and the World Heavyweight Champion title.
