Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord Episodes 7 & 8 Release Date and What to Expect

Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord dropped its next batch of episodes, re-introducing a Dark Side Force user that fans have seen before. This is none other than Marrok, the First Brother, part of the Inquisitors that Vader employs to hunt and destroy the Jedi who are on the run. The character was last seen in Ahsoka, where the former Jedi Padawan slays him as his suit spills out green smoke while deflating. In Ahsoka, he was seen working for Morgan Elsbeth, the Nightsister in the service of Grand Admiral Thrawn.

With the Empire now on Janix and the Inquisitor having met Maul, the Imperial focus on the planet is only going to grow in future episodes.

With Episode 5, “Chapter 5: Inquisition“, and Episode 6, “Chapter 6: Night of the Hunted” streaming on Disney+, fans are now preparing for what seems like a very action-packed batch of 4 episodes, which will drop two at a time over the next two weeks. These will close out the first Season of Maul- Shadow Lord, leading into a sequel season that has already been greenlit.

Maul – Shadow Lord Episode 7 & 8 Global Release Date and Time

The next two episodes of Maul- Shadow Lord are called “Chapter 7: Call To The Oblivion“, and “Chapter 8: The Creeping Fear” (via Starwars). The episodes are going to begin airing in the United States on April 27, 2026, on Disney+. Audiences in the United States can expect the episodes to drop at 12:00 AM PT and 3:00 AM ET. What to Expect from Maul – Shadow Lord Episodes 7 & 8?

Marrok fought Master Daki and Devon when he attacked the household of Captain Lawson. He then faced off against Devon again, but this time, with Maul backing her up. Owing to the action that he has seen, Marrok seeks advice from his master with regards to how he must proceed with the situation. As Marrok sees it, the wanted criminal from the Empire, Maul, is working with the two Jedi.

While it is not seen who Marrok is talking to in the final seconds of Episode 6, it is clear that the figure that he is seeking guidance from is none other than Darth Vader. As the Imperial presence on Janix steamrolls local authority in favour of capturing Maul, fans can expect to see Stormtroopers hunting Maul and the Jedi that have come to run in the same circles. The focus in the coming episodes is likely going to be on Devon figuring out which path she would like to follow.

While Master Daki is well-intentioned, it is easy to see why his perspective on Maul might come across to Devon as old-fashioned. In contrast, when looked at from Devon’s perspective, Maul is ready to bury the hatchet between the Jedi and the Sith to fight the Empire. For a character in Devon’s position, it might be difficult not to take the olive branch that Maul is extending, given how recent the fall of the Jedi Order is in Devon’s memory.
