What Is the Pathfinder Program in Marvel Rivals? Requirements and Rewards Explained

Most games are happy to let their best players sit at the top of the ladder and leave everyone else to figure things out alone. Marvel Rivals is looking to take a different approach.

The Pathfinder Program is NetEase’s official community mentorship initiative, built around connecting experienced high-rank players with those who want to genuinely get better at the game. If climbing the ranked ladder is what you have been focused on, this is where that work can start paying off in a different way.

As of writing, players ranked Diamond 3 and above are receiving in-game mail from NetEase inviting them to apply. The program operates through the official Marvel Rivals Discord, where accepted Pathfinders mentor others through hero guides, VOD reviews, and community Q&A sessions.

Hitting Diamond 3 gets you into the application, not the program itself. The Google Form asks for peak rank screenshots, most-played heroes, and a few questions that already start probing your actual game knowledge. After submitting, applicants who clear the first cut receive an invite to a separate “Pathfinders Interview” Discord server, where a text-based interview digs deeper into both skill and intent.

The internal bar is clearly higher than just a rank threshold. But, as far as the rewards are concerned, FandomWire reached out to a Helper on the interview server, who had this to say:

Gift cards for coaching other players is a reasonable trade, and the fact that rewards are tied to actual contribution rather than simply holding the role keeps the program from becoming a badge people collect and forget about.

How to Apply for the Marvel Rivals Pathfinder Program

The process runs entirely through Discord and takes around ten to fifteen minutes if you have your screenshots ready. Here is how it goes:

• Join the Marvel Rivals Discord server, accept the rules, pick your roles, and link your game account to Discord if you have not already.
• Go to Channels & Roles, click Browse Channels, search for “Pathfinder,” and subscribe to every channel that appears.
• Open the #pathfinder-info channel under the Information category, read through the details, and click “Apply Here” to open the Google Form in your browser. Fill out every section thoroughly, upload the required screenshots, and submit.
• Upon submission, you will see an invite link to the Pathfinders Interview Discord server on the Google Form itself. Apply to join it and wait for access.
• Once inside, check #announcements first, then head to #pathfinder-interview and click the green “Start Interview” button.
• This opens a temporary text channel where you answer a few questions before submitting for review. Once submitted, all you need to do now is wait for someone from the team to follow up (within 48 hours) with a decision.

For players who genuinely enjoy helping others improve, this is one of the more structured and rewarding community programs Marvel Rivals has put together. The workload is real, but so is the recognition.
