Top 5 Best Teams for Vodyanitsa in Genshin Impact 7.1

Vodyanitsa is the second new character in Genshin Impact Version 7.1, and she is a 5-star Hydro Catalyst support who can heal, apply off-field Hydro, provide damage buffs, and reduce Elemental RES. Naturally (thanks HoYoverse), her kit makes her very good for Freeze and Stellar Swirl teams.

She can reduce Hydro, Cryo, and even Anemo RES with her abilities when you trigger Stellar Swirl. And because of that, there are many teams where Vodyanitsa can shine on the DPS characters you have. Here are five of the best Vodyanitsa teams to use in Genshin Impact Version 7.1.

5 Varka + Vodyanitsa + Prune + Furina

While she’s most useful in Freeze and Stellar Swirl teams, Vodyanitsa isn’t limited to them. If you have Varka, she can also fit into his teams.

Varka is the main DPS, and Vodyanitsa gives healing, Hydro application, damage buffs, and Hydro RES reduction. Prune gives you more buffs and helps Varka activate his own damage.

Furina gives you off-field damage and another source of big teamwide damage buffs. Vodyanitsa’s healing is all-around useful here since it also helps with Furina’s HP drain.

If you want to use Vodyanitsa but don’t have a proper Freeze or Stellar Swirl team, this is one way for you to use her as a Hydro support.

4 Wriothesley + Escoffier + Vodyanitsa + Furina

Wriothesley can take advantage of Vodyanitsa’s Freeze buffs. As a Cryo DPS, he benefits directly from her ability to reduce Cryo RES and increase Cryo-related damage.

Furina gives you more damage amplification and off-field Hydro application, and Escoffier gives you even more Cryo and Hydro resistance reduction. Like before, Vodyanitsa’s healing also complements Furina’s HP drain and generates Fanfare. Wriothesley can consistently trigger Freeze when the team’s Hydro application is maintained.

3 Yumemizuki Mizuki + Vodyanitsa + Odette + Faruzan

Vodyanitsa is also great in Stellar Swirl teams with Yumemizuki Mizuki as the on-field Anemo DPS. In this team, you’ll use her alongside Mizuki, Faruzan, and Odette.

Mizuki is the main Stellar Swirl DPS. Faruzan brings her huge Anemo RES shred and damage buffs. And Odette gives you more off-field damage and Stellar buffs.

Vodyanitsa can also reduce Anemo RES, giving Mizuki another reason to use her. Cryo Traveler can generally be a stronger fourth-slot option for Mizuki in some teams, but Vodyanitsa has good healing and Hydro utility.

2 Vesna + Vodyanitsa + Odette + Faruzan

Vesna is one of Vodyanitsa’s best team options in Version 7.1. Vodyanitsa’s Hydro application can complicate some Stellar Swirl teams, but Vesna’s kit allows the pair to work well together.

Vodyanitsa brings healing, interruption resistance, Stellar Swirl buffs, and resistance reduction. Faruzan is the main buffer for Vesna’s Anemo damage, and Odette has off-field damage and even more Stellar buffs.

This maximizes Vesna’s ability to trigger and benefit from Stellar Swirl while having good healing and resistance. This is easily one of the best teams if you specifically want to build around Vesna.

1 Skirk + Vodyanitsa + Furina + Escoffier

Skirk’s premium Freeze team is one of the strongest places to use Vodyanitsa. Skirk is the primary on-field DPS, while Vodyanitsa provides healing, Hydro and Cryo RES reduction, and freeze buffs.

Furina gives off-field damage and a powerful teamwide damage amp through her Burst. Escoffier rounds out the team with additional damage and resistance reduction. Since the team is built entirely around Hydro and Cryo characters, it also works naturally with the requirements of Skirk’s kit.

Overall, Vodyanitsa is great for Freeze and Stellar Swirl teams right now, and we could see these options expand as we get more Snezhnayan characters.
