Control Resonant: Beach Day Puzzle Step-by-Step Guide

Manhattan is full of small, easy-to-miss moments in Control Resonant, and the Beach Day puzzle is one of the more charming ones. Tucked away in Downtown, this optional discovery isn’t a fight or a lock to pick, but instead is a makeshift beach scene that Dylan wants to sketch, but only once it looks complete.

Where to Find the Beach Day Setup in Downtown in Control Resonant

The scene is located in the Deserted Area, a quieter stretch of Downtown positioned just south of the Oldest House and the Central Checkpoint. Opening your map will show it tagged with a Secret icon, the same marker used for other one-time discoveries across Manhattan.

To reach it quickly:

• Exit any nearby interior into the Downtown streets.
• Instead of walking the full route through intersections, climb up to the rooftops and vault across the low walls. This should cut out a lot of ground-level backtracking.
• Drop down when you spot a large “A New You Awaits” billboard overlooking a construction lot. The blue tarp with the beach setup is directly below it.

When you arrive, you’ll notice two of the four beach props are already sitting on the tarp: a lawn chair and a picnic basket.

The two missing pieces, a second lawn chair and a beach umbrella, are both nearby in the alley corner beside the dumpsters.

Steps to Complete the Puzzle and Unlock the Sketch

To complete the puzzle, complete the following steps:

• Interact with the tarp first: Use the Beach Day prompt to trigger the initial dialogue. Dylan will comment on wanting the scene finished before agreeing to draw it.
• Grab the spare lawn chair: It’s folded up in the alley corner near the dumpsters. Since it’s carried with both hands, you’ll need to walk it back rather than use any faster traversal.
• Set the chair down on the tarp: Standing near the existing chair and picnic basket should snap it into position automatically.
• Retrieve the beach umbrella: This can be obtained from beside the dumpster and needs to be carried over to the tarp as well.
• Wait for confirmation: Once both missing props are placed, Dylan will remark that the setup finally looks right.
• Use the interaction prompt again: It should now read Draw instead of the earlier option. Selecting it starts a short scene of the sketch being completed, accompanied by a bit of dialogue about beach memories.

After the drawing scene finishes, a collectible notification should appear on screen. To verify it saved correctly, open your Archives menu and check Dylan’s Sketchbook. The finished Beach Day page should now appear there instead of showing blank.
