The Boys Season 5 Episode 3 is expected to continue the plan for destroying Homelander and all the supes at the top. Major events from the premiere of The Boys Season 5 are expected to have repercussions, including:

• The death of A-Train
• Soldier Boy’s death and reawakening
• Ashley’s Compound V mutation
• The successful testing of the virus on Teenage Kix

Episode 2 dealt with A-Train’s death very publicly, with Vought reframing the narrative as a heroic death. With a member of the Seven flipped to the side of the resistance, this gives more hope for the Boys to convert others.

Homelander will continue to oppress America with his one-man control over the entire nation and all its capitalistic institutions (recall Sister Sage’s joke about Warren Buffett). The Orwellian world will descend further into a nightmare while Starlighter bases are raided.

Annie continues to make tough decisions for the greater good, with repercussions falling hard on her psychological state. Will she become more like Butcher? Or will Hughie bring her back to the side of humanity? Too many moral lines have been crossed by the group, which is left in disarray.

We can definitely expect more of Soldier Boy and Homelander’s dynamic being explored as the father-son duo rule over the nation together. What about the youngest one in the generation, Ryan? The natural-born supe is primed to be a Homelander-killer in this season, and The Boys may be engineering a problem far worse in the process.

Viewers can come to expect more deaths and maybe even the joining of Gen V characters.
