One Piece Officially Sets Up 2 New Yonko Level Characters With Beastly Upgrade

In One Piece, some characters do not just become stronger; they keep finding new ways to break their own limits! The Final Saga is now giving Zoro and Sanji some of their biggest power-up hints yet.

Zoro has already shown a new level of control over Conqueror’s Haki against Sommers, while the One Piece manga teases that Sanji could be heading toward unlocking the same ability. With Luffy already fighting at a completely different level, these two upgrades could change the Straw Hats’ famous Monster Trio once again.

One Piece Is Quietly Setting Up Zoro and Sanji’s Next Power-Ups

Zoro’s moment in One Piece Chapter 1193 is one of those scenes that looks simple at first but could become very important in the final saga. During his fight with Saint Sommers, Zoro gets trapped inside the Holy Knight’s invisible thorns. Instead of simply trying to cut his way out, he starts thinking about how he can use his Conqueror’s Haki against Sommers.

Zoro then manages to cut through the thorns and attacks Sommers. But Zoro does not treat it like some huge achievement. He simply says, “Sorry about that, I’m still practicing.” That line is what makes the moment so interesting. Zoro already learned how to coat his attacks with Conqueror’s Haki during the Wano Arc. He used that power to defeat King and developed his King of Hell fighting style in the process.

Now, the moment from Chapter 1193 could be the start of another major upgrade for the swordsman. Meanwhile, Sanji’s potential upgrade has been building for a little longer.

In One Piece Chapter 1187, Sanji remembers Gaban’s words, where the former Roger pirate’s “left hand” said that if he wants to help Luffy become the Pirate King, he needs to become a “king” himself. Now, even though the chapter did not reveal Sanji’s Conqueror’s Haki immediately, the wording is hard to ignore.

Luffy and Zoro already have Conqueror’s Haki. Sanji is the only member of the Monster Trio who has not shown it. That makes Gaban’s comment feel like a possible setup for something bigger. Sanji has already received major upgrades through his Germa abilities, his enhanced body, and Ifrit Jambe. If Conqueror’s Haki is added to that, he could become much more dangerous in the Final Saga.

For most of One Piece, Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji have been the Straw Hats’ famous Monster Trio. Whenever the crew enters a major battle, these three usually find themselves facing some of the strongest enemies. The Final Saga is now raising the stakes even higher.

Luffy has already reached a completely different level with Gear 5. He is currently fighting Imu, one of the most powerful enemies in the entire story. In Chapter 1192 of One Piece, he even used Loki’s massive weapon, Ragnir, to launch Dawn Thor Bullet at Imu. The attack broke through Imu’s Shield of Emptiness and managed to hurt him. That alone shows how far Luffy has come.

But while Luffy is dealing with Imu, Zoro and Sanji are fighting their own battles in Elbaf. Zoro is facing Saint Sommers and has now shown that his Conqueror’s Haki still has room to grow. Sanji is fighting Killingham while carrying a possible hint toward his own Conqueror’s Haki awakening.

That makes the timing especially interesting. If Zoro masters the technique he is currently “practicing” and Sanji eventually awakens Conqueror’s Haki, the three Straw Hats could enter the final battles with an entirely new level of power. And considering the enemies waiting for them in the final saga, they may need every bit of it.

Moreover, there is also an interesting parallel with the Roger Pirates. Roger stood at the center of the crew just like Luffy, while Silvers Rayleigh and Scopper Gaban were his two strongest partners. If Oda is following the same pattern, the Final Saga could be preparing Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji to become the next generation’s version of this legendary trio.
