What is Naughty Business About?

Set in Valladolid, 1998, the story of Cochinas follows Nines, a traditional and conservative housewife. Her quiet life is shattered when her husband falls into a coma, leaving her in charge of the family’s struggling video store, “Dorothy.”

She finds out that the family business is bankrupt, and she is forced to go against her conservative mindset to sell the only genre that makes real money: p*rn (via Amazon MGM Press).

The “Naughty Business” begins as Nines transforms the shop into the city’s first adult video store. The series explores her personal journey toward s*xual liberation while her conservative neighborhood erupts in a metaphorical (and occasionally literal) earthquake over the store’s new inventory. 

Well, good for her, she has the help of her employees: Chon, her foul-mouthed video store employee, and Agu, a film enthusiast. 

A bold mix of drama, dark humor, and provocative storytelling, the show’s title alone makes it stand out in the increasingly crowded streaming landscape. As much as it is about entertainment, the show’s tackling of ‘uncomfortable’ topics is the reason why it is generating as much buzz as it is today.

Yes, there is a trailer for Naughty Business, but as of now, it is only available in Spanish. The teaser features the iconic 90s aesthetics, complete with chunky VHS tapes and neon signage.
