His decision to scale back from the show reportedly stemmed from his health concerns, as in 2019, Sheets incurred a heart attack, which led to his hospitalization. At the time, Sheets even issued a statement, revealing that he had congestive heart failure and a severe lung issue (via People).
Well here we go I wasn’t going to say anything, but you all have been the greatest friends and fans. I’ve been very sick for 3 months and two nights ago I had a mild heart attack, found out I have congestive heart failure and a severe issue going on with my lung.
After recovering, he reduced his involvement with the show and moved to Arizona, where he ran an antiques store. In addition to his strong presence on Storage Wars, Sheets also appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Rachael Ray’s cooking series.
