CBC IS PITIFUL
Re “Stick to the truth” (Warren Kinsella, Aug. 30): When you were younger, you may have complained to your parents: “My friends’ parents let them do it, why can’t I?” This is the rationale used by the CBC in refusing to call the 9/11 event a terrorist attack. Other media outlets are doing it, so we want to do it. What a pitiful excuse for this CBC policy with respect to the use of the word terrorism. The CBC is clearly past its ‘best before date’ and needs to be defunded. But the CBC is the Liberal Party’s media promoter so I do not see its budget being reduced.

(The Liberals will continue to fund CBC at unimaginable rates as long as they act as their mouthpiece)

FIRE THE IDEOLOGUES
Re: “Stick to the truth, (Warren Kinsella, Aug. 30) and Canada military declare war on God, (Robert Smol, Aug. 30): After ruining our economy and disparaging our culture, we finally got rid of that feckless joke of a prime minister, Justin Trudeau. Why are we still reading woke narratives from agencies under direct control of the Liberal government. This is disgusting. Whether Mark Carney can revitalize our economy, or retain our sovereignty, if he does not fire the people responsible for these two affronts to Canadians’ sense of propriety, he should step down himself. We are sick of paying salaries to civil servants who supplant personal ideology for Canadian beliefs.

(It is expected in a step towards austerity, some bureaucrats will be retired. Whether this makes any difference at all remains to be seen)
