Kevin Soundtrack: Every Song Featured in the Prime Video Series

Kevin premiered on Prime Video on April 20, 2026, dropping all eight episodes at once. The show follows a housecat who walks out on his owners after their breakup and moves into a pet rescue in Astoria, Queens.

For a show built around something as gutting as losing the only life you’ve ever known, the soundtrack is surprisingly alive. The licensed music jumps across decades and genres. It gives a show about a cat in Queens more emotional range than most live-action dramas.

Composer Dan Romer handles the original score, and Jason Schwartzman performs the theme “I’m Coming Home,” co-written with Romer (via Amazon MGM Studio Press). Here’s every song across all episodes.

The first half pulls from names most people recognize: Willie Nelson alone in an apartment, The Strokes kicking off a night out in the city, Vanessa Carlton, and Hall & Oates.

As the season moves forward, the picks get stranger and more specific. LMFAO at a pet adoption ceremony in Provincetown. Frog over the end credits of the finale. It mirrors where Kevin is in his arc, the familiar world he knew at the start, and whatever this new one is by the end.

As of April 2026, no official soundtrack release has been announced. The individual licensed tracks are available on Spotify, Apple Music, and other major platforms under their original artists.

Dan Romer’s Original Score in Kevin: What Makes It Work

Romer has scored Beasts of the Southern Wild, Luca, Station Eleven, and the 2025 Lilo & Stitch remake. Kevin is his first adult animated series.

Romer scores Kevin from Kevin’s perspective. Not the premise, which is a cat in a Queens shelter, but how that cat actually experiences things. Kevin’s reactions are immediate and physical. The breakup doesn’t hit him like a human processes loss. It stops him. The score catches the shock perfectly.

Even Brandi, Cupcake, and Armando all run on different frequencies, and the music shifts with them. Each animal feels like it has its own life, and Romer scores it that way.

“I’m Coming Home,” performed and co-written by Schwartzman, ties it together (listen below).

It sounds light until the show gives it weight. That range, funny to gutting, chaotic to quiet, is where Romer’s score earns its place. Titmouse already nailed the physical language of cats: the stillness, the small involuntary movements, and Romer’s music sits inside that instead of talking over it. You feel it because the score and the animation are pulling in the same direction at the same time.
