The outspoken Oscar winner has finally decided to grace Instagram users with her presence and we can’t wait to hear what she has to say and see what she’s going to post.
We’re not sure what made her cave and decide to join the rest of us plebes, but Lawrence might not last too long, threatening to take her account away just as quickly.
The Hunger Games star, whose handle is @jlaw because “@jenniferlawrence was taken,” posted her first video on Thursday, setting ground rules right off the bat.
“So, yeah, I’m giving it a shot, and if anyone says anything negative, I will quit,” Lawrence said to the camera.
“Immediately. No questions asked,” she noted.
“If anyone thinks something mean, I’ll know. I’ll know. And I’ll quit,” she reiterated.
Lawrence also shared a post on her Instagram Stories that read: “Please be mindful that any mean or aggressive comments can negatively affect the baby.”

She added: “It’s me. I’m the baby.”

Commenters rejoice
Celebrities and fans alike were quick to hit the comments section to welcome the Die My Love actress to the 21st century.
Joey King wrote, “Thank god you’re here!” while Noah Schnapp called it “the best day of my life.”
Upworthy’s account commented: “Simply ELATED you’re here. We needed you.”
Other accounts added threats of their own to not mess with this good thing.
“If anyone ruins this, we’re not responsible for what you may step on,” the Lego account wrote.
Batman simply said, “I will protect your comments section from negativity.”

Lawrence previously spoke about staying anonymous online with a finsta account.
“I’m on it. But I’m a voyeur. I watch, I don’t speak,” she told InStyle, per Time, in 2018, about her Instagram-lurking.
“There is always so much backlash,” she detailed at the time. “So many people are listening and paying attention, and they have so many opinions about absolutely everything.”
The Don’t Look Up star added: “I really don’t want to welcome that unless it’s absolutely necessary. I don’t want to put myself out there for no reason. Unless I’m promoting something or something really burns my onions, you won’t hear from me.”
We’re ready for more, jlaw.
