Harry Potter Officially Returns With Original Weasley Twins Tomorrow on HBO Max

Ahead of HBO’s Harry Potter television series, the original Weasley twins are returning to HBO Max tomorrow. James Phelps and Oliver Phelps, who found worldwide fame for portraying the Weasley twins (George and Fred Weasley) in the original Harry Potter movies, will be hosting the cooking show, Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking.

The Phelps brothers are returning for the third season of the show, with participants returning from the previous seasons. However, there is a twist in the new season of Wizards of Baking.

In the previous seasons of Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking, a team would be eliminated at the very first task. However. drawing inspiration from the world of J.K. Rowling, Oliver Phelps announced that the teams will now be divided into four factions (based on Harry Potter’s four houses).

Working together, the teams will not be eliminated at every task, and instead, they will be given points for each task. The team (or house) with the most amount of points wins the championship. (via News Center Maine)

Because they can do that, they can experiment a bit more, they can take a bit of a bigger risk, and we really see some incredible showpieces from the very first episode.

Portraying the role of the Weasley Twins across all eight Harry Potter films, James and Oliver Phelps continue to stay connected to the franchise, even after the final movie, which was released in 2011.

With HBO recasting the younger Weasley twins, the original stars had some sweet words for the new cast filling in the shoes of the Weasley twins in the upcoming HBO reboot.

With the HBO reboot in full swing, twins Tristan and Gabriel Harland have been cast as Fred and George Weasley in the upcoming TV series. Sharing some words of wisdom for the new Weasley twins, James Phelps revealed that they wished them good luck.

We sent these guys a private message, just I wish them the best and all that kind of stuff. We hope that they have as much fun as we did because we’ve been very fortunate to have gone all over the world, and we’ve met so many different people, and we know how much Potter means to them, so we’re very blessed to have done what we’ve done.

Truly, the world of Harry Potter does mean a lot of things to millions of people worldwide, who have given much love to the J.K. Rowling novels and the original Warner Bros. movies.

What remains to be seen is whether HBO can improve upon the original movies, and what that improvement would look like for the franchise in the long run.
