Guy Ritchie and Jason Statham Officially Reunite for 7th Movie on Netflix

Jason Statham and Guy Ritchie are back with yet another flick titled Dogfight, which was announced 2 hours ago by Netflix. Although it feels like years since we saw Statham and Ritchie collaborating on the same project, Dogfight will mark the 7th reunion between the director and the actor after their initial work on Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.

Plot details have been kept under tight wraps, but we do know that Dogfight will see the actor-director duo return to the criminal underground of London. The movie is being announced as “an action-packed revenge thriller with a stylish twist”, which is honestly every Guy Ritchie movie ever.

However, almost all (bar one) collaborations between Jason Statham and Guy Ritchie have been successful. Naturally, Dogfight will be another iconic collaboration between the action star and the director.

It was 1998 when Guy Ritchie collaborated with Statham on Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. Following their collaboration, the duo reunited for the 2000 movie Snatch, wherein Brad Pitt had that weird accent.

The collaboration continued with Revolver (which is the duo’s worst-rated movie), Wrath of Man, Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre, and the upcoming Viva La Madness.

Naturally, Dogfight makes up their 7th collaboration overall. Their collaborations have been successful so far, and almost all of them have received great reviews.

Of course, it remains to be seen how the next two projects of Jason Statham and Guy Ritchie turn out. Much like Dogfight, Viva La Madness does not have a release date announced, but the film is expected to release sometime in 2028.
