15-Part Prime Video Gem Is Still Henry Cavill’s Biggest Warhammer 40K Rival in 2026

A 15-episode series on Prime Video is the biggest threat that Henry Cavill’s Warhammer 40K will face. Titled Secret Level, the series is a collection of short stories where each episode showcases an original storyline from famous franchises. Naturally, Episode 5 of Secret Level showcased an original story set in the world of Warhammer.

Released in 2024, Warhammer 40,000: And They Shall Know No Fear features Titus in a distant future. Fighting through hordes of cultists and a Chaos sorcerer, he rescues his mentor, Metaurus, and turns to face the oncoming horde in the final scenes of the episode.

Although the episode doesn’t fully capture the vast scope of the Warhammer franchise, its cinematography, music, and intriguing nature are enough to set a benchmark for Henry Cavill’s live-action project.

Henry Cavill’s Warhammer 40K Already Has a Hard-to-Beat Benchmark

Being an animated anthology series, Secret Level was able to give the Warhammer franchise its iconic stylish look and gameplay-like feel for its 5th episode that featured Sergeant Metaurus.

Despite being an original story, the episode features some of the most amazing cinematic shots seen in a series. The war sequence, the charging into battle, and the music that follows are simply iconic and put audiences in the adrenaline chair.

Naturally, Henry Cavill’s Warhammer 40K has a very hard-to-beat benchmark whenever the live-action project does make its debut.

Although it has been quite a while since we last received major updates about when we can see Henry Cavill’s dream project, it seems that Mike Flanagan has hyped up the project ahead of its release.

Mike Flanagan’s Latest Update Hypes Up Warhammer 40K Series

Being an acclaimed horror director and writer, Mike Flanagan became part of the live-action series in the summer of 2026. During a chat with Deadline regarding Flanagan’s latest project, Carrie, the director-writer was asked for an update about the Henry Cavill project.

Flanagan revealed that Cavill would be furious if he divulged anything that they are currently working on. However, the writer did provide an update regarding where the series is currently.

All I can say is that Warhammer is a fascinating world. The challenge, as anyone familiar with it knows, is finding a way in – it’s so big. There are 700 novels, discounting the [table top] game, the interactive elements and so much of the rest of the lore.

He added,

[We found] a very cool and unexpected on-ramp into it, which I think is very exciting. I’m sworn to secrecy on all of it, but I’m having the time of my life working on it.

With the involvement of Mike Flanagan and Henry Cavill, it seems that the Warhammer 40K project is going slowly but steadily. The Man of Steel actor has got some projects to beat and some benchmarks to meet, but no one knows better about the cost of accuracy than Henry Cavill.
