Nintendo has officially pulled back the curtain on Splatoon Raiders, the first-ever spin-off in the beloved Splatoon franchise, and fans could not be more excited. From its confirmed release date later this July to its pricing and co-op features, there is a lot to unpack.

Splatoon Raiders: Release Date, Price, and Platforms

Splatoon Raiders launches on July 23, 2026, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2. The release date was officially revealed on April 21, 2026, through a brand-new trailer posted on the game’s and Nintendo’s official social media platforms.

The title was originally announced on June 10, 2025, and after nearly a year of silence, Nintendo has finally given players something concrete to look forward to.

As for pricing, Splatoon Raiders will cost $49.99 digitally and $59.99 for a physical copy in the United States. Pre-orders are now live on the My Nintendo Store and the Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch 2.

As a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive, the game requires Nintendo’s latest hardware to experience it. There is currently no indication of a Nintendo Switch 1 version, making this one of the more compelling reasons to upgrade to the new console.

Splatoon Raiders is a single-player action shooter designed to introduce both newcomers and long-time Splatoon fans to the franchise. Players take on the role of a character called the Mechanic, who finds himself on an adventure across the region of Spirhalite Islands.

As the name suggests, this game revolves around raiding, with players exploring islands in search of treasure while fighting enemies known as Salmonids along the way. Who’s making a comeback in this one is the beloved trio from Splatoon 3: Frye, Shiver, and Big Man, or collectively known as Deep Cut, as your companions throughout the journey.

The game also supports co-op play for up to four players, both online and locally. Overall, this particular spin-off is special because it has more focus on exploration and customization, with players having the freedom to tailor both their appearance and their loadout.
