It’s release week for Control Resonant, and Remedy Entertainment’s highly anticipated sequel comes out digitally worldwide on September 24, 2026. The game will release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with all three platforms unlocking at the same time.

The game will have a different launch time depending on local regions. This means that your access to the game will depend on your time zone. Remedy has also added a 48-hour early access period, although this is exclusive to PS5 players who purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition.

Control Resonant officially launches on September 24, 2026, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Remedy Entertainment has confirmed that the digital version will unlock globally at 2:00 PM GMT (3:00 PM BST / 10:00 AM ET / 7:00 AM PT).
Since the launch is simultaneous worldwide, there is no way to play earlier by changing your console’s region. The popular New Zealand region trick, for example, will not work because the game isn’t tied to local midnight times.

The physical editions won’t be available alongside the digital launch. Physical copies have been delayed until October 15, 2026, so if you want to play on launch day, you’ll have to buy the digital version.
Control Resonant PS5 Early Access Release Time
Image Credit: Remedy EntertainmentIf you buy the Digital Deluxe Edition on PS5, you’ll get a 48-hour head start. Early access begins on September 22, 2026, and you’ll be able to play at 7:00 AM PT / 10:00 AM ET / 3:00 PM BST on September 22.
PC and Xbox players do not have this early access option, even if they purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition. The Deluxe Edition’s other bonuses, including the digital artbook, soundtrack, AWE Mission Outfit, Wallet Artifact, and Starter Resource Bundle, are available across supported platforms.
As for pre-loading, the PS5 Deluxe Edition preload was available from September 20, while PC, Xbox Series X|S, and the standard PS5 edition can begin pre-loading on September 22. The install size of the game is approximately 104 GB on PC, 82 GB on Xbox, and 90 GB on PS5, so make sure to have enough free storage before launch.
