Rather than being spread across the whole campaign, all three endings live inside Chapter 5, Into the Shadows. Once Michael reaches a certain point in the chapter, the game’s HUD flashes a notification pointing toward a nearby escape: a sewer tunnel, a set of railroad tracks, or an open cornfield, depending on where you’re standing and how the surrounding map state has developed.

If you wish to see different endings, you don’t need to replay the Prologue or any of the earlier chapters. This is because the branch point sits entirely inside Into the Shadows, meaning jumping straight into a chapter replay for this one is the fastest way to work through all three outcomes.

Sewer Ending

Of the three, the Sewer ending tends to come to the player more naturally. The escape prompt appears once Michael is deep in the northern half of the map. From there, the path curls back west before angling north again, past a cluster of officers you don’t wanna engage with.

It eventually dead-ends at a fenced-off area guarded by a couple more officers. Slip past them to find the sewer entrance; prying it open is what kicks off the escape cutscene, bringing the chapter to a close.

Railroad Ending

The Railroad Ending tends to open up a long and similar stretch of the map as the Sewer route, working west and gradually moving north. The giveaway that you are on the right track is a countdown tied to an oncoming train at the crossing. Make sure to only push across once the train has fully cleared the tracks.

Cornfield Ending

This ending is likely the one least stumbled into, as it sends Michael away from the urban section entirely and out into the surrounding fields. Anyone chasing this specific outcome on a replay should treat it as a deliberate target rather than something to stumble into, since it’s easy to drift back onto the sewer or railroad path if you don’t commit to the cornfield direction early in the chapter.

While the visuals and narration during closing might be different between the three endings, the broader story stays the same, which is that Michael slips away into the night, setting up the next chapter of his life.

For most players, a single clean playthrough of Halloween: The Game is enough to see the credits roll, but if full completion is your goal, the Chapter 5 replays should be your go-to tool for the job, and you’ll have all three endings unlocked in a blink.
