Genshin Impact Version 7.1 is just around the corner. We finally reached Snezhnaya with Version 7.0, and HoYoverse is ready to show us what’s coming in the next major update during the upcoming livestream. The Version 7.1 Special Program will give us a closer look at upcoming characters, events, story content, and anniversary celebrations.

And for those of you saving for upcoming characters, we’re also be getting the livestream codes for Primogems and other useful rewards. Here’s everything you need to know about the Genshin Impact 7.1 livestream, including its date, worldwide timings, where to watch, and what to expect.

The Genshin Impact Version 7.1 livestream is scheduled for September 12, 2026, at 8:00 AM EDT (UTC-4). The Special Program will be broadcast on Genshin Impact’s official Twitch and YouTube channels.

In terms of the banner schedule, we are currently in Phase 2 of Version 7.0, with reruns of Ineffa and Flins. This banner will run until September 22. Version 7.1 is then expected to begin on September 23.

Where to Watch Genshin Impact 7.1 Livestream and What to Expect

We will be able to watch the Version 7.1 Special Program live through the official Genshin Impact Twitch and YouTube channels.

The livestream will cover the majority of the new content in Version 7.1. In terms of characters, HoYoverse has already drip-marketed Vesna, a five-star Anemo character associated with the Druzhna, and Vodyanitsa, a five-star Hydro character and performer with the Korolevskiy Troupe. Both are expected to be the new characters in the upcoming update.

We can also expect the Special Program to reveal more about the continuation of the Snezhnaya storyline, including potential new Archon Quest content. We should also expect information about new weapons, events, character reruns, and other Version 7.1 additions.

A big part of the Special Program will be the game’s sixth-anniversary celebrations. We should finally get confirmed details about anniversary rewards, freebies, and potentially new quality-of-life improvements arriving alongside the update.
