Cissia Abilities and Build Overview in Zenless Zone Zero 2.7

Cissia is a new Electric Attack Agent in Version 2.7 who can be used as either a main DPS or a sub-DPS depending on the team you want to build. Her kit is all about her Venom points, which build up through attacks, EX Special Attack usage, Chain Attacks, and her Ultimate.

Once Venom is available, Cissia can spend it to trigger Corrode Bone and deal Electric damage that also helps her maintain pressure on enemies over time. This is what makes her so useful on a team. As long as Venom is active, her Core Passive grants Electric damage DEF ignore.

And on top of that, you get even more bonuses if Energy Regen exceeds the key threshold of 1.4. Because of that, she is one of the rare DPS characters who genuinely likes Energy Regen as a stat instead of treating it as a side bonus.

Best Stats and Substats for Cissia

Cissia’s main stat priorities are a little more complicated than what you build for a standard “crit DPS” Agent. On Slot 4, you generally want CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG, depending on what your build is lacking.

On Slot 5, Electric DMG is usually the best choice, but ATK% or PEN Ratio can be useful depending on your substats and team. On Slot 6, Energy Regen is the best option and often the best default because of how much it contributes to her Passive.

Her substats should generally follow this order of importance: CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, ATK%, Energy Regen, and then Flat ATK or PEN, depending on the piece. You’re going to want Energy Regen because once you have enough, every bit of extra Energy Regen adds more DEF ignore to her Electric damage.

If your build already has enough Energy Regen from your weapon and Disc main stats, then you can start focusing more on your crit ratio and ATK%. But do not ignore Energy Regen too early. For Cissia, it is one of the few stats that improves both her personal output and the quality of her teams.

Skill Upgrade Priority for Cissia

Cissia’s skill priority is very clear. Her Core Skill comes first, followed by Basic Attack and Special Attack. Chain Attack is also very valuable, while Dodge and Assist are lower-priority upgrades unless you are investing deeply into her as a long-term main DPS.

Basic Attack is next because it is one of her most important tools for generating and spending Venom. Her charged Basic sequence is also one of her primary damage cash-outs, so upgrading it has a noticeable effect on every fight.

Special Attack comes shortly after because it is one of the fastest ways to generate Venom and set up her rotation. A stronger Special Attack also improves the reliability of her loop, which is important in difficult fights where you need her damage available on time.

Chain Attack deserves solid investment as well, since it contributes to her burst damage and helps refresh the resources she needs to stay active. Dodge and Assist are still worth leveling eventually, but they do not drive her core game plan the way the other skills do.

Cissia performs best in teams that let her keep Venom flowing and trigger her team buffs without interruption. In general, she likes at least one other Electric character, since that helps unlock her full Core Passive value. She also works well with strong Stun characters because stunned enemies make her resource cycle and burst windows much easier to manage.

Is Mindscape Cinema Worth It?

Cissia’s Mindscape Cinema upgrades are good, but they are not required to make her good. Her best early breakpoint is usually M1, which gives her a much better opening by increasing her starting Venom and improving her Core Passive value.

M2 is also excellent because it improves her damage after her Stun windows and gives her more Venom at the right time. That makes her burst phases much nicer in combat and helps her perform better against enemies that do not stay Stunned for long.

Later Mindscapes, such as M4 and M6, are good, but more luxurious. They significantly improve how often she can trigger Corrode Bone and how much extra damage she can squeeze out of her kit, but these are not necessary for most players.

For the average build, a well-geared Cissia at M0 already has plenty of value. If you are spending resources carefully, her weapon and Drive Discs should usually come first.

Cissia is one of the most interesting Electric Attack Agents in Zenless Zone Zero because she rewards both mechanical discipline and smart stat building. She wants CRIT, ATK, and Energy Regen, but not in a generic way. And we’re loving it.
