‘Deeply disturbing’
“Investigators continue to appeal to members of the Region of Peel who may have information,” Miller said. “Incidents of this nature are deeply disturbing. The officers involved are also being provided with appropriate mental support as they continue to process the impact of this call.”
Miller said anyone with information about the incident can contact the Peel Regional Police special victims unit at 905-453-2121, ext. 3460 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
“This is at the very early stages of the investigation,” he said. “The scene is being held for further investigation.”
Miller said a search warrant will be executed at the residence Monday with the Region of Peel police’s forensics unit.
The age and gender of the baby were not provided by police.
An unnamed neighbour told news outlet CP24 that there were between 10 and 20 people living inside the home. At one point, it looked like someone was sleeping inside the garage, he said.
