The wait for Fate Graphite’s return is finally coming to an end. At its New York Comic Con showcase on October 9, 2026, Crunchyroll confirmed that Berserk of Gluttony Season 2 will premiere in 2027 and unveiled a new teaser trailer (via Crunchyroll). The sequel is scheduled to broadcast in Japan first and stream internationally on Crunchyroll after that, although an exact release date has yet to be announced.

The upcoming season will continue Fate’s journey after his rise as a Holy Knight. Fate will once again be joined by Greed, his sentient black sword, as the two face new challenges. Ryota Osaka returns as Fate, while Tomokazu Seki reprises his role as Greed (via the official website). Hisako Tojo joins the cast as Roxy, Misato Matsuoka as Mine, and Hitomi Sekine as Eris, adding several familiar voices to the upcoming season.

Studio ACGT will return to animate the sequel. The return is encouraging news for fans who have been waiting to see how Fate’s story develops. The first season established an interesting conflict between his growing strength and the hunger that comes with it. Season 2 now has the chance to push that idea further, deliver more intense battles, and explore the mysteries behind his unusual ability.

With Solo Leveling Away, Berserk of Gluttony Could Rule Crunchyroll

In the world of power-fantasy anime, Solo Leveling has set a tough standard to beat. Sung Jinwoo’s journey from the weakest hunter to one of the most powerful beings in his world turned the series into a major hit. Its second season drew enormous attention on Crunchyroll and further strengthened its position among the platform’s most popular anime.

However, fans still have one big question after the conclusion of Season 2: when will Jinwoo return? Although Solo Leveling Season 3 has been reported to be in development, an official release date for 2027 has not been confirmed. That leaves an opening for other action anime to attract viewers who want another exciting story about an underdog becoming ridiculously powerful. With its second season scheduled for 2027, Berserk of Gluttony could arrive at just the right time.

The similarities between the two series are also noteworthy. Jinwoo grows stronger by leveling up, unlocking new abilities, and building an army of shadows. Fate, on the other hand, devours the stats and skills of his defeated enemies. Both characters begin at a disadvantage, but their unusual powers help them overcome opponents who once seemed far beyond their reach.

Still, Berserk of Gluttony has its own identity. Fate’s hunger makes his journey more dangerous, while his partnership with Greed adds another layer to his growing power. The series leans into dark fantasy, giving its protagonist a different set of struggles from Jinwoo’s. If Season 2 develops these ideas well, it could become an appealing next watch for Solo Leveling fans.

Of course, replacing a hit as big as Solo Leveling is no easy task. Berserk of Gluttony will need memorable fights, stronger character development, and a story that keeps viewers invested beyond its familiar power-up formula.
