Out of the many things you can possibly carry in your inventory in Crimson Desert, Golden Apples have to be one of them. This particular item, if farmed correctly, will allow you to craft so many Golden Bars that you’ll possibly be tired of spending all of your riches by the end of your playthrough.
However, unlike most of the other items and loot that you will just stumble upon while exploring the world of Pywel, Golden Apples are a bit harder to come across. Here’s how you can make your way to exactly where the Golden Apples spawn, and the most reliable method is to farm them.
Best Way to Farm Golden Apples in Crimson Desert

To make the process smoother, the player will need to get rid of and liberate the enemies in the area before they are able to get their hands on the Golden Apples. The best tip to spot a hedgehog would be to keep your camera angled down towards the ground while looking around, which will allow their shiny back to become more noticeable.
Best Time to Farm Golden Apples in Crimson Desert
The optimal time for farming Golden Apples is between 4 PM and 7 PM in-game time, with the player being able to spawn in the hedgehogs repeatedly by running back and forth near the rock corner at the dock.
How to Collect the Apples
This part can be tricky for many, as collecting these Golden Apples requires you to either shoot the item off of its back or to kill it completely, which will drop the Golden Apple as floor loot and will allow the player to obtain it normally.
Why Golden Apples are Worth Farming in Crimson Desert
Golden Apples can be used to make Gold Bars in the game | Credit: Pearl AbyssThinking if it’s worth the hassle to stick around hedgehogs all day and farm this item? Golden Apples in Crimson Desert are used to craft Gold Bars, which can be done through Witches in the game with the help of 1 Golden Apple and 3 Gold Ores.
To get started crafting, visit any Witch and choose the “Craft Abyss Gear” option before choosing the Gold Bar recipe and selecting the ingredients for the same. Not unlocked the recipe yet? Get over to the Abyss Nexus on Pailune’s main road before heading towards the road on the right side near the cliffs, where you will have to look for stone stairs that lead up to the recipe’s location. The best part? You can sell off your newly crafted gold bars for at least 190 Silver, or you can even choose to deposit them at any bank in Pywel, which will count each Gold bar as a 500 Silver investment.
