When Is Wuthering Waves’ Anniversary? WuWa Celebrates 2nd Year With Version 3.3

We are getting ready to celebrate the second anniversary of Wuthering Waves, but with gacha games and their Version schedules, it’s sometimes hard to actually figure out what the actual dates are.

Kuro Games will celebrate the second year of its successful gacha RPG on May 22. And as our anticipation builds, we are already getting ready for what is expected to be one of the game’s biggest updates yet.

Like its first anniversary, the celebration won’t be limited to a single day and will be the center of the Version 3.3 update. So basically, the anniversary will span an entire version update, with new content, banners, and rewards.

Wuthering Waves 2nd Anniversary Date and Version 3.3 Timing

Wuthering Waves officially celebrates its anniversary on May 22, 2026. This marks the second year since the game first launched in 2024. Most of the celebrations and festivities are expected to take place during Version 3.3, which will most likely run from April 30 to June 10, 2026.

According to the official patch schedule, Version 3.2 will end around April 29, making April 30 the likely launch date for Version 3.3. With this schedule, the anniversary itself will fall right in the middle of the patch, most likely during Phase 2. This is the same as last year’s anniversary.

In 2025, Version 2.3 launched in late April, and the rewards and celebrations were focused in May, with the biggest highlights dropping closer to the actual anniversary date. If Kuro Games sticks to this structure, players can expect the most rewards, banners, and events to arrive during the second phase of Version 3.3.

Livestream, Banners, and What to Expect From the Anniversary

Before Version 3.3 goes live, Kuro Games will host a Preview Special Broadcast on April 17, 2026, where full details of the anniversary update are expected to be revealed. As usual, we can expect to see banner announcements, event previews, and limited-time reward codes. So if you want to know all the details of what’s coming, make sure to tune in.

While the official banner details haven’t been fully confirmed, the drip marketing already suggests that the new characters will include Hiyuki and Denia, who will headline Version 3.3. There’s also a strong chance of multi-banners, similar to the first anniversary, where multiple Resonators and their signature weapons are featured simultaneously.

Looking back, WuWa’s first anniversary had all the rerun banners, new weapons, and a decent amount of rewards throughout the patch. However, community feedback at the time was mixed, with some players hoping for more generous rewards. Because of this, the developers might be more generous with the rewards this year. But we’ll have to wait and see.

At the very least, we can expect a content-heavy update with events, login rewards, and more. May is just around the corner now, and all eyes are on Version 3.3 to see whether WuWa has changed its anniversary formula and whether it can deliver a celebration that lives up to player expectations.
