Charlize Theron Breaks Down Her Action-Packed Journey on Apex

Working on Netflix’s Apex pushed Charlize Theron to her physical and emotional limits, and while talking to Extra, she revealed how demanding the production turned out to be. Theron spoke about her multiple injuries during filming, such as surgeries on her right arm after an ulnar nerve issue. 

The actress also suffered from a fractured toe and intercostal tears in her ribs. Eventually, Theron had to step back due to an ear infection for some time, and in the interview, she highlighted what prepared her for such grueling roles:

I think dance taught me real grit… I think as a dancer, the discipline that you have to have and excruciating pain… it’s something that really benefited me in action films. I don’t tap out very easily.
