The Boys Season 5 is set to debut Malchemical, an evil supe played by Supernatural alum Misha Collins, in Episode 5. The character is a satirical parody of DC’s Metamorpho, with the comics showing him as a supe born from Compound V being injected while he’s still in the womb.

Misha Collins will reunite with his Supernatural co-stars Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles six years after the show ended. The Boys Season 5 is the final season of The Boys, giving showrunner Eric Kripke the chance to bring two fandoms together during the endgame.

Misha Collins’ Malchemical: Origin & Powers

Misha Collins’ Malchemical is a prenatal supe according to Garth Ennis‘ The Boys comics, making him a rare supe who didn’t receive Compound V as an adult. He is an original member of the high-profile superhero Team Titanic.

Malchemical’s powers are in the realm of matter and molecular manipulation, making him a powerful shapeshifter. He can transform his body into any chemical compound by restructuring his atoms into anything he sees fit. This gives him the ability to become as hard as a metal object or even as light as air by transforming into a gas.

Malchemical often uses his powers to replicate the appearance of other people. He used his powers to imitate the leader of Team Titanic and r*ped his girlfriend, leading to his removal from the team by Vought.

Misha Collins will take on the role of this devious supe in the upcoming Episode 5 of The Boys, and from what we’ve seen in the promo, this will be the Supernatural reunion fans have been waiting for.

Episode 5 Promo Teases a Bloody Supernatural Reunion

The brief teaser for Season 5 Episode 5 of The Boys shows Jared Padalecki’s Mister Marathon and Misha Collins’ Malchemical meet with Homelander and Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy. The latter two continue their search for Compound V1, meeting with the former supes to secure it for Homelander’s final ascension to immortal God.

The teaser wastes no time in turning into bloody mayhem as all the evil supes start throwing hands at each other. Soldier Boy is seen with his hands around Malchemical’s throat while somebody explodes at the hands of Mister Marathon.

Showrunner Eric Kripke spoke about the inclusion of all Supernatural stars in an exclusive with ComicBookMovie:

We could do Jared, Jensen and Misha, and they could all be together. That would be amazing. And luckily, Misha was available too. So, it was a blast. It was like going back home and hanging out with your high school friends in the best way.

Eric Kripke also highlighted that the inclusion of Jared Padalecki will be more than just a cameo, playing a character that keeps the story moving forward by introducing crucial changes to the plot. Meanwhile, it appears that Misha Collins’ Malchemical will be a cameo.
