These anime characters don’t even question their heinous actions, and their charming personalities only further aid them in scamming others, especially the opposite gender.

Fujiko from the Lupin franchise perfectly fits this archetype in anime. She is literally a bona fide example of a gold digger. Of course, she is always attracted to wealth and status, but she is also a master at using her beauty and charm as weapons to exploit powerful and wealthy men. Although the Fruits Basket anime itself is quite wholesome, Toudou’s character brings some spice to it. Her materialistic and status-conscious personality solidifies her as another iconic gold digger character in anime. However, in her case, money isn’t everything. She basically believes that, due to her looks, any guy would fall for her.
