Nintendo has officially confirmed its next round of Direct presentations, and there’s a twist: instead of one broadcast, fans are getting two back-to-back showcases next week. The second will be a general Nintendo Direct covering upcoming Switch 2 releases.
Below is a full breakdown of when each show airs and how to stream them for free.

What to Expect From The Upcoming Nintendo Directs
Nintendo Direct premieres on September 8 and 9 | Credit: NintendoThe September 8 presentation is likely to lean heavily into the news surrounding The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake for Switch 2, which is still slated for a 2026 release but hasn’t received a proper gameplay showcase yet. Fans are also anticipating a first look at footage from the upcoming live-action Zelda film, directed by Wes Ball and set for an April 2027 theatrical release.
There are also rumors that a special-edition Zelda-themed Switch 2 console could make an appearance, though that remains unconfirmed.
The September 9 Direct will likely follow Nintendo’s usual format of quick-hit trailers and updates spanning first- and third-party titles releasing between now and the end of 2026. The Nintendo Treehouse stream afterward should offer a close, hands-on look at gameplay for whatever gets announced.
