Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 is now available across various gaming platforms and it is receiving universal praise from the critics and gaming community alike. Fans wasted no time diving into the short yet satisfying single-player story campaign and immediately wanted to see how the multiplayer aspect has improved since the first game. Unfortunately, most players are dealt with an awful hand and suffer several server issues.

Server issues are common nowadays, especially for high-profile online multiplayer games like Warhammer. While the game developers are actively working on a permanent solution to this problem, here are a few minor fixes that could get players back into the fight.

Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 Players Are Experiencing Annoying Server Issues

The gaming community had high expectations for this sequel, and Focus Entertainment decided to throw more fuel to the fire and let it be known that the sheer quality of the single-player story mode and online multiplayer of Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 are equally top-tier and worth the wait. Modern video games are made with the utmost care and crafted by the best of the industry, and Saber Interactive knew what they had to live up to after the first game resonated well with the player base.

Unfortunately, like every other major online multiplayer, the game is not immune to server errors. Other popular games like Fortnite and Helldivers 2 are plagued with server issues which is a testament to how well they performed and the daily active player count was too much to handle by the server. The Warhammer sequel fell on the same boat and the gaming community has discovered a few minor solutions until Saber Interactive rolls out a major fix.

Players should immediately check and verify the game files. It is a time-consuming solution but, at the very least, effective, and the game developers of Saber Interactive recommend this solution. Another solution is to disable Steam Overlay and Cloud Saves which can be ironic since these features were meant for convenience; however, some players successfully fixed their games by disabling them. Lastly, disabling crossplay with other gaming platforms and solely playing Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 with friends on the same platform. Cross-platform is an occurring issue since launch day and this could be an Xbox, PlayStation, and PC problem beyond the purview of Saber Interactive.

The gaming community wanted a smooth online multiplayer experience; unfortunately, this is an issue that will never likely go away. Until Saber Interactive can work on a permanent solution, these minor fixes are the best options for the time being. This is a problem that neither the game developers nor the player base wanted to experience but at least prepared contingencies and other countermeasures in case it happens.

Fans are Waiting for the Developers to Release the Ultimate Patch for Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2

The game developers crafted a modest campaign with a decent length that greatly depends on how a player moves and excels. It would make sense for players to immediately jump from the single-player story mode to multiplayer after wrapping up the campaign and playing the game with friends; unfortunately, server issues have other plans for them.

Players were confident about the game’s entertainment factor but not so much with the replayability which is why most fans would prefer to have a New Game Plus mode on day one for Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2. Starting a new save file to replay the campaign can be twice as fun if players know what to expect and have the proper kit and loadout to destroy anything standing in their way, especially now when the online multiplayer is janky.

The gaming community wanted to fight as Space Marines with friends, especially with all the new improvements the game developers worked on for years. Hopefully, Saber Interactive is working on the patch and release it as soon as possible.

Saber Interactive has a lot riding on this patch and will do anything to meet fans’ expectations and deliver the gaming experience they deserve. Until then, these three minor fixes will get the job done.
