SUMMARY

  • Below Deck Season 9 saw one of the best chief stewardesses on the show, Heather Chase.
  • After the season, she was seen mostly travelling with her boyfriend and friends on her Instagram.
  • She has since announced her retirement from yachting and it is unlikely that she will appear in another season of Below Deck.

Heather Chase was a fan-favorite in the ninth season of the Bravo reality TV series Below Deck. In the show that chronicled the lives of crew aboard a superyacht, Chase was the workaholic Chief Stewardess of My Seanna. The season with Chase premiered in October 2021 and the show has since aired two more seasons. However, Chase never returned to those two seasons.

It is unlikely that fans will see Heather Chase on the show anymore as she has announced her retirement from yacht life. Chase’s time on the show was not trouble-free, as she was on the firing line for using a racial slur against coworker Rayna Lindsey.

Heather Chase quickly impressed fans with her competence and attention to detail. As the Chief Stewardess, she made sure that the guests aboard My Seanna had a seamless experience. With a lot of help from her second stew Fraser Olender and little to no help from her third stew Jessica Albert, she managed to run things smoothly while entertaining viewers.

However, her run on the show was not all that smooth considering her rocky friendship with Rayna Lindsey. Chase used a racial slur against the deckhand which most of the crew condemned when Lindsey finally spoke up. While Chase made a sincere apology to Lindsey, their friendship was long past mending.

Post Season 9, fans have not seen Chase on television. But if you follow her on Instagram, Chase posts her life updates on the platform. The stewardess seems to enjoy her life with her boyfriend and other friends. Shortly after Season 9, Chase went on a Bahamas trip with co-worker Kaylee Milligan, who replaced Jessica Albert as her third stew (via Instagram).

Chase made her retirement announcement in May 2023 via her Instagram. She shared a pic with her boyfriend on what appears to be her final charter. She shared that she was happy to retire from the yacht life after “one last hoorah” with her boyfriend, whose identity still remains a mystery.

She further shared in her post that yachting took her, a small-town girl, to unthinkable heights. She also added that she wouldn’t trade that life for anything else. Chase shared on her Instagram:

Yachting has taken my life to unthinkable heights. This small town girl spent endless nights scrubbing toilets, making hundreds of cocktails, throwing the craziest theme parties and ironing probably close to a million napkins the last 7 years.. & I wouldn’t trade it for a thing.

While Chase hasn’t shared any updates on what she’s up to in her career path, her LinkedIn profile puts her as the “CEO of Triple Sea Management / Hospitality Redefined”. She has also put up “House Manager of UHNW FAMILY” on her online resume.

Will Heather Chase Return to Another Season of Below Deck?

Heather Chase was not only loved by the viewers for her work ethic, but she also got along so well with her coworkers. Captain Lee Rosbach, who has been on the show for a very long time, would also agree that she was one of the best chief stewardesses on the show. While he pointed out that she was wrong in using the racial slur, he believed Chase’s apology to be sincere.

That said, it is highly unlikely that Below Deck will bring back Chase. The show has moved past her in the last two seasons. With the ever-expanding nature of the franchise, the makers may look for more talent than fixate on bringing Chase back. Also, Heather Chase’s retirement makes her unavailable aboard My Seanna.

Below Deck is now available for streaming on Peacock.
