Microsoft deserves appreciation after its attempt to downsize the game from the hundreds of gigs required to run its predecessors. This is a commendable achievement for Microsoft since it managed to downsize a game rather than increase it further, which has turned into a trend in modern times.

God of War Ragnarök released for PC on September 19, 2024. The game is currently available on steam. However, the game has been in the center of a couple of criticisms, the storage issue being the biggest one of them all. The game currently requires 190 GB of SSD storage to get installed, which is a humongous amount for any game.

Where Microsoft has managed to surprise us by downsizing the latest Flight Simulator, Santa Monica Studios and Sony, on the other hand, have taken a huge leap in the complete opposite direction. 190 GB is a lot for any game; even some of the biggest games on the market do not require that amount of space.

The world of gaming is constantly evolving at a rapid pace to keep in touch with the technological advancements that enable and compliment it. However, due to this, games are now becoming too heavy to be played casually on an average computer.

God of War Ragnarök‘s whopping 190 GB is the perfect example of how video game sizes have significantly risen from just a few gigs of storage a few years ago to hundreds of gigs now. This is why Microsoft’s efforts into downsizing the game are being appreciated since it managed to revive the long lost days of games requiring less storage.

The next generation Flight Simulator, releasing on November 19, 2024, is packed with a lot of fresh and exciting elements like worldwide aviation careers, a white-knuckle Challenge League system, and a new World Photographer mode.

There have been major graphical improvements in the representation of Earth. The Flight Simulator redefines the way to look at the world in the game by enhancing ground detail, including worldwide ship traffic, helipads, glider airports, oil rigs, and dozens of animal species.

The career mode in the game sounds very exciting. It will enable players to get the experience to developing their skills as pilots and monitor their steady progress as they travel through the world. The system mimics real-life experience of aviation training and simulates real life in ways never seen before.

Microsoft managed to include all of this in just 30 GB, which is not a big number given the amount of things the game has to offer.
