The Marry Me star and the rapper were together for two years after they started dating in 1999. They made some notable appearances during their time together, including the 2000 Grammy Awards, where Lopez famously wore her green Versace dress.

Following their split, Lopez shared insight into their breakup. In a 2003 interview with Vibe, the Mother star revealed Diddy’s infidelity as the cause of their separation. “It was the first time I was with someone who wasn’t faithful,” she said, as per Entertainment Weekly.

Now, amid the serious allegations and charges against the rapper, the former couple is back in the public conversation due to viral photos of them from an old party. Along with Lopez and Diddy, the viral images include prominent industry figures, including Jay Z and the late singer-actress, Aaliyah.

The pictures are claimed to be from one of his notorious parties, unsettling to many people, especially in light of the horrifying revelations about his “freak off” parties. However, as per Getty Images, the pictures that are going viral are from his Fourth of July Party on July 2, 2000, in East Hampton.

The indictment alleged that the rapper ran a criminal group, that organized events he called “freak offs.” It also states that his team allegedly planned these events, from arranging for the travel of participants and providing drugs to coerce them into s*xual activities, and filmed the encounters.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was arrested earlier this week on September 16 on charges of racketeering, s*x trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. The indictment also details the alleged organization of drug-fueled parties, which he reportedly described as “freak offs.”

Members of his team allegedly planned these events, in which the rapper allegedly manipulated women to be involved in s*xual acts with male prostitutes and filmed the encounters to ensure that they remained silent.

And the September indictment is not the first time, these “freak offs” have been mentioned. In her 2023 lawsuit, his ex, singer Cassandra Ventura, mentioned that she was forced into participating in such an event during their relationship.

Combs allegedly lured the women to these “freak offs” under the pretense of romantic involvement, coercing them to take part in activities that allegedly lasted several days.

The rapper, however, has denied the allegations, with his attorney Alex Agnifilo, asserting that they will vigorously fight the charges, expressing confidence in a favorable outcome.
