Shawn Mendes posts bizarre message after Liam Payne's death

Liam Payne has passed away after reportedly falling from the third floor into the internal courtyard of the Casa Sur Palmero Hotel, located in the popular Palermo district of Buenos Aires. Emergency medical teams quickly arrived at the scene but were unable to save him, as he had sustained fatal injuries from the fall and was pronounced dead on-site.

Local reports indicate that Payne had traveled to the Argentine capital to attend a concert by his former One Direction bandmate, Niall Horan.

On Wednesday afternoon, at approximately 17:04, authorities received a distress call from the hotel's manager, reporting that Payne was behaving aggressively and appeared to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Responders from the 14B Police Station, along with a team from the Emergency Medical Attention System (SAME), arrived shortly after, where they discovered Payne's lifeless body in the courtyard.

The tragic incident has led to an investigation by local authorities, who are looking into the circumstances surrounding his sudden and untimely death.

Celebrities pay tributes

Meanwhile, several famous celebrities have taken to social media to pay tribute to the former One Direction member.

Shawn Mendes didn't mention Payne's name but wrote on X: "We take care of each other."

Paris Hilton also offered her condolences to his family.

"So upsetting to hear the news of @LiamPayne passing," she wrote. "Sending love and condolences to his family & loved ones. RIP my friend."

Charlie Puth, who co-wrote "Bedroom Floor," paid tribute by posting a caption-free photo of the two together on his Instagram feed. He also shared additional pictures and videos of them on his Instagram Story.

"I am in shock right now. Liam was always so kind to me. He was one of the first major artists I got to work with. I can not believe he is gone," Puth wrote. "I am so upset right now, may he rest in peace."
