Al Pacino, at 84, has finally shared intimate details about the closest he's ever come to getting married. In his new memoir, Sonny Boy, Pacino reveals that Apollo 13 actress Kathleen Quinlan was the woman who almost made him reconsider his stance on marriage.

Pacino's relationships with stars like Diane Keaton, Tuesday Weld, and Beverly D'Angelo are well-documented, but his connection with Quinlan remains less known. Introduced at a party hosted by famed acting coach Lee Strasberg, Pacino and Quinlan developed a close bond during the filming of Scarface in 1983. The friendship soon blossomed into a romance, with the couple even traveling to Europe together.

In the memoir, Pacino describes his affection for Quinlan, calling her a "comfort" during one of the most intense periods of his career. "It wasn't easy to say no to marriage with a woman I love," he writes, acknowledging that the decision left him heartbroken for years. He attributes his hesitation to a fear of the complications that he believed marriage would bring, referring to it as a potential "entrance to the pain train."

He famously dated Diane Keaton, who co-starred with him in The Godfather trilogy and made several attempts to get him to settle down.
