Petit Planet Officially Announces Final Beta Test For September 20; Sign-ups Open

HoYoverse has officially announced the final beta test for Petit Planet, its upcoming cozy life simulation game, with the test scheduled to begin on September 20, 2026. The limited-access test will be our last opportunity to see and experience the game ahead of its planned Winter 2026 launch.

One thing to note is that this won’t be an early access type release. The Final Beta Test will be a data-wipe test with no in-game purchases. HoYoverse has also opened applications for players interested in taking part, so make sure to sign up if you want to check it out before its full release. Here are all the details.

Petit Planet Final Beta Test Begins September 20

According to the latest announcement, the Final Beta Test will begin on September 20, 2026, while the ending date will be revealed at a later time. Applications are currently open and will remain available until September 14 at 00:00 (UTC+8).

Players interested in participating must visit the official Petit Planet website and complete the sign-up survey. Since this is a limited-access test, submitting an application does not guarantee entry.

The test will be available on Windows PC, iOS, and Android. HoYo has also confirmed that the beta will not include in-game purchases, while all progress made during the test will be wiped. The developer emphasizes that the game remains in development, meaning the content and overall quality featured in the beta should not be considered representative of the finished product.

This is the studio’s first major attempt at the life simulation genre. We will take on the role of a Planet Tender and receive our own world to develop, decorate, and transform. The game is a mix of life-sim activities with a cosmic setting. We’ll be able to farm, fish, cook, mine, craft, and collect resources while gradually shaping our planet.

The Final Beta Test supports English, Japanese, French, Indonesian, Thai, Russian, German, Spanish, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, Turkish, Vietnamese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
