One Piece Chapter 1191 Ending Explained: Is Imu’s New Form a Mythical Zoan?

In the One Piece world, some battles bring together characters from completely different generations. Chapter 1191 does exactly that as Luffy finds himself fighting alongside two of Elbaf’s strongest warriors against Imu.

The chapter picks up after Scopper Gaban loses his arm while protecting Luffy in One Piece Chapter 1190. Imu becomes even more terrifying, and Hajrudin and Loki finally join the fight with Luffy. By the end, Luffy, Loki, and Hajrudin launch a powerful combined attack at Imu. Here’s everything that happened in this chapter.

Imu Reveals His Most Terrifying Form Yet in Chapter 1191

One Piece Chapter 1191 starts with Gaban still alive after the brutal battle with Imu. He has lost his left arm, but he is still able to move and speak. Luffy is shocked that Gaban survived the attack. Gaban also explains why he stepped in to protect Luffy. He says he was fighting because he wanted to protect Elbaf.

This makes Gaban’s actions in One Piece Chapter 1190 even more meaningful. He knew how dangerous Imu was, yet he still put himself between Imu and Luffy. After losing his arm, Gaban is still not ready to back down. Meanwhile, Imu also got injured from Gaban’s attack, and he then recognizes and remembers Gaban from God Valley.

Imu admits that he should have killed Gaban back then, along with Rocks D. Xebec, if he had known how strong Gaban would eventually become. Things become even worse when Imu reveals a terrifying new form. Imu grows much larger and takes on a more monstrous appearance, with huge horns and dark arms. The powerful aura coming from Imu also begins to affect the surroundings.

Now, although the chapter does not officially confirm Imu’s Devil Fruit, his new form has made the Mythical Zoan theory much more interesting. His huge body, four horns, black arms, and demonic appearance make him look more like a mythical creature. This is similar to how Kaido, Marco, Yamato, and Luffy take on forms linked to legendary beings through their Mythical Zoan powers.

The Five Elders have also shown monstrous transformations with animal-like features and supernatural abilities. Imu’s form seems to follow a similar idea. The chapter also briefly moves to the library, where Robin, Chopper, and the others confirm that the books have been saved. Biblo appears to tell Chopper something important, but the chapter does not reveal exactly what he says. That mystery will probably become important later.

One Piece Chapter 1191 Brings Luffy, Loki and Hajrudin Together

The situation becomes even more dangerous when Imu prepares to continue the attack. Gaban tells Luffy to take his crew and leave Elbaf, but Luffy refuses to run away. Just when Imu was about to strike, Hajrudin jumps into the fight. Hajrudin attacks Imu and manages to push him back. However, Imu’s power quickly starts affecting him as well. Gaban warns Hajrudin that he cannot win this fight and tells him to get away.

Hajrudin refuses. He makes it clear that an Elbaf warrior cannot simply abandon the battlefield. Even if he falls, there is still someone who can continue the fight. Loki is still there. This leads to Loki finally returning to the battlefield. His arrival gives Luffy and the giants another fighter against Imu.

Luffy also gets a chance to recover, and his strength starts coming back. Once he is ready to fight again, Luffy stands beside Loki and Hajrudin. The three then launch Gokoku Sovereignty against Imu.

The attack is a huge moment because Luffy is now fighting together with two major warriors from Elbaf. The combined attack creates a massive explosion and sends destruction across the battlefield. However, Chapter 1191 ends before the result of the attack is shown. The next chapter should reveal whether Gokoku Sovereignty was powerful enough to break through Imu’s incredible defenses.

The final attack could become a major turning point in the Elbaf Arc, but fans will have to wait for an additional week to see whether Imu can withstand it, as the manga will be on its scheduled break next week. But for now, the biggest development is that Luffy, Loki, and Hajrudin have finally joined forces against one of the strongest enemies in the One Piece world.
