Olivia Rodrigo scares fans with a dangerous fall in the middle of a concert in Melbourne

Olivia Rodrigo and her fans suffered a heart-in-mouth moment at the Guts World Tour in Melbourne when the 21-year-old Drivers License singer fell through the stage on Sunday, October 14.

The young American, who previously appeared in the High School Musical reboots, lost her footing in front of 14,000 fans at the Rod Laver Arena on the final night in the city as she plunged through a hole.

The moment happened at her show, which is marked by high-energy vocals and performances, when she was running around the stage trying to hype the crowd up with the microphone only to slip through the cavernous gap.

Fans gasped in horror as the tumbled down the floor hatch, accidentally left open from a previous track, but the Californian popstar showed cat-like reactions to cling to the sides of the stage to break her fall and climb back up, all okay.

"Oh my God! That was fun," Rodrigo said, playing the moment off. "I'm okay! Sometimes there is just a hole in the stage... Okay, where was I?"

Rodrigo's tour has been highly successful and her next show dates are already sold out as she performs hits such as Good 4 U, Vampire, and Bad Idea, Right?. The star has earned six Grammy nominations from her latest album titled GUTS.

Olivia Rodrigo won't be travelling far for her next gigs as she heads to the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, located just 548 miles away from Australia's second most famous city for gigs between October 17-22.

Then she takes a break until next Spring, putting up her feet to enjoy Thanksgiving, Christmas, the New Year and Valentines Day before she heads to Chile to perform at the Parque Cerrillos in the nation's capital, Santiago.

The Guts World Tour will conclude for good on July 1 when she performs in Manchester, United Kingdom at the Co-op Live. The tour has grossed over $94m so far.
